Holy mother of god does the online suck really bad. It's horribly laggy. You can't view stats, player tendencies, past games, or favorite playbooks. It's full of cheesers who just try and take advantage of the horrible AI with scrambling QBs. It's really difficult to make depth chart adjustments before it un-pauses itself with no warning. Oh did I mention the lag....one of the most lagged games I've ever played. What gives?

The last NCAA game I played online was 05, I figured they would have improved it since then but wow it got much much worse. I could probably go on and on if I played a little more but I think I'm done unless I get in on a dynasty with some volnationeers.

I've held off from playing online for quite some time and I'm glad I did. Had I jumped right into online play I probably would never have played this game again. I at least got a couple of months of playtime out of it before I write it off as one of the worst NCAA games I've played, and it is.

Sure I'll go right out and buy one just to play NCAA and leave my blu-ray collection in the dust. Oh, I guess I'll just shell out even more money for new blu-ray player. Then the xbox accessories and monthly fee.....come on. I'm a casual gamer, not someone who plays 4-5hrs a day.

What accessories are you speaking about? A headset?

Why'd you spend the money on the ps3 in the first place? :p

Monthly fee? It's like 13 cents a day.

It's pointless to argue that xbox live is better. People refuse to try, admit or compare the two networks.

I'll do it. Send me your XBOX, game, and LIVE info.:)

Wait, you do have an XBOX correct?

Can you XBOXers view stats/tendencies of opponents?

Well, a wifi adapter, a charging dock, and a HDMI cable.

Because I wanted the blu-ray player, and I got it cheap off Craigslist.

I don't need the 1st two items - but I guess I could understand someone needing/wanting them. And an HDMI cable is like a dollar on amazon.

I'm a pretty casual gamer.

Touche.

I really don't prefer either. One console is as good as the next IMO. I'm sure they both have their ups and downs. I wanted the blu-ray player. I had no intentions of buying any game when I bought it. At the time it was cheaper to buy it than just a blu-ray player so I pulled the trigger. I bought it about a year ago with 10 movies and 3 games for $225. It was a really good deal at the time.

That does seem like a very good deal - especially being a year ago.

Xbox 360s are really cheap now too though since you can just get the arcade system or whatever it is at walmart.

and yes you will pay roughly $40 a year for xbox live but i wold just about guarantee you won't complain about the $40 once you see the difference in online play. i have both systems and i refuse to play ps3 online because of the horrible lag. keep the ps3 because i'm sure you'll still play it or if nothing else for the blu ray player.

Im a PS3 guy and I refuse to argue the two systems online play....Its no contest, Xbox does it better.

With that being said I still prefer the PS3.

Ok I decided to play a couple of more times.

First game against Ohio St. and well I always choose TN no matter the opponent. This guy just scrambles every single play till his recievers are making comebacks then dishes it off to the one that will be wide open or just tuck it and runs. I can stop the scrambler but not every single play. It just takes the fun out of it. The guy has no answer for runs so I pound it and do pretty well. Score is 14 -17 in my favor and I'm lining up for a FG and press back on the analog and then up about 3/4 way up (25 yards). Well it decides not to register the up motion and falls straight back to 0%. The kick falls on the 1 yard line and in the endzone. Ok very next play he scrambles and I'm playing spy with my RE I chase him till he gets nervous and throws a pick to my FS. Now he found somewhat of an answer for my power run game and stops my drive short of the goal line. Line up for a kick and the same exact scenario as last time. This time it had enough distance even though it was 0% but the angle deterred it wide left. I still won 24 14 thanks to a pick 6 but it was not very fun. Especially with the lag on the FGs.

I had one decent game against Notre Dame where I lost 3 -0. I win the toss defer till the 2nd half, line up for the kick and well you know. Not only did it not register the up motion but it took like 20 seconds for it to even let me start the meter all while he's cycling through his players. This guy had a play to his WR that I couldn't stop. Always uncovered unless my CB is playing flat zone then it was just a matter of if the CB would knock the ball out from the high pass. It's a short gain everytime but jeez, you'd think man coverage would disrupt this play. Well no, you put man on it and he has a lot of running room even though the CB is supposed to bump and run.

Ok now my very first legit opponent. Florida at the swamp. It's a tough battle on offense the Ds are playing well making every tackle when it counts and we traded a few FG's back and forth the first 1/2 and go into the half tied 6 - 6. I tried establishing the run and he tried establishing the pass. We were both semi successful. TN got the better end of the deal as I've notice a lot of people don't have an answer for power run formations. I had around 300yds (200 rushing) and he had around 250 yds (200 passing). I was winning the clock battle holding the ball for around 3 quarters (14 mins) and end up winning 13-9 from a 50 yrd scamper by Brown out of the Maryland I..

How did anyone manage to give up 200 yards rushing as Florida - that's bad.
Maryland I, Weak I Twin TE, Strong I Twin TE, I-Form Twin TE & Tight. Pound it.:p. Plus I had a few big runs up the gut. He wasn't really that bad, well his record was like 4x-2x. It just seems that people are so use to defending the pass (every game I've played they were more pass happy so I figure the majority of online players follow suit) they are outmatched when they run into a power runner like I am. They just don't know what to do when they see the 1wr sets especially when I'm successful passing out of them.

Can XBOX users view opponent stat averages, tendencies, or past games?

From my experience, it is probably your internet connection that is causing the lag, not the game. I play on PS3 and have yet to have a game with lag. It plays almost the exact way online as it does offline.

I own both systems, there is absolutely no difference in lag. Its your internet connection.

and no, you can't see stats, past games, etc on the 360 version either. those things are not in the game in general
