We haven't used much of a WR rotation here yet. It doesn't mean that we won't, because they did use a much greater rotation at UCF. Every team is going to play their best players the most, and we haven't had a WR catch more than the 67 receptions that Hyatt had this season. Bru (52), Tillman(37), Keyton(31), Squirrel(30). Where are all these extra receptions for other guys supposed to come from? The defense has to create more opportunities for the offense for more guys to see significant playing time.
Our average scoring drive was like a minute and thirty seconds or something ridiculous. We are too explosive/efficient too need to rotate as much.

Most schools rotate when they are going to run plays, we keep our guys in so we dont have to wait on the defense subbing.

And with the long drives on defense our offense gets to rest, so besides the quick drives the ones are getting plenty of rest on the side line.

Basically the only way we are going to rotate more is if our offense gets worse.

If our defense forces an extra 4 short possessions per game, and our offense operates with the same proficiency, it will create more opportunity. That's nearly an extra 50 offensive possessions over the course of a season. This is also not unrealistic if they can build a top 25 defense.

Not that we are greedy or anything.

what a evaluation by this staff
I mean… yeah, but this latest bump isn’t evidence of that. The evidence will be collected on the field next fall and in the following seasons.

This bump in Leacock’s ranking is nothing more than On3 recognizing that Leacock is likely to succeed because he signed with Tennessee. Most all of our WR signees moving forward will receive some form of rankings boost.

I’m sure there might be some preferential treatment towards UT’s WR recruits, but I believe this young man’s body of work on the field justified his rise in the rankings.

One of the best evaluations in the class of 2023 was Tennessee finding WR Nathan Leacock. He was a 3 star player ranked near 500 in the country. He finishes as a 4 star and the #45 player in the country. Finishes above Carnell Tate. This staff has an eye for Talent.

I think he meant Nathan Spillman.
Ahh. In Nate’s case were there any other power 5’s recruiting him? Can’t just bump any and every WR Tennessee signs. The goal is to identify who the best programs are pursuing the most. We’re going to have a major influence on WR ratings but the recruiting services have to develop a read for the big picture. If Tennessee is the only power 5 pursuing a guy, why is that? Has to be accounted for in the rankings
