A highly ranked wide receiver who received a scholarship offer from Tennessee last month is planning to visit the Vols soon. Four-star Class of 2023 wide receiver Christian Hamilton of Hickory Ridge High School in Harrisburg, N.C., told GoVols247 that he's scheduled to travel to Tennessee on June 13 to take his first look at the Vols.

The 6-foot, 175-pound Hamilton picked up an offer from first-year Tennessee coach Josh Heupel's staff on April 15. He already holds offers from more than 20 schools, including Georgia, North Carolina, N.C. State, Notre Dame, Oregon, Penn State, South Carolina, Texas A&M, Duke, Georgia Tech, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest, West Virginia and Wisconsin.

He's ranked by 247Sports as the No. 31 overall prospect and No. 3 wide receiver in the 2023 class and the No. 1 sophomore from the state of North Carolina. He's also a top-50 prospect nationally in the industry-generated 247Sports Composite for the 2023 class.

The Vols are one of several teams Hamilton is planning to visit next month. He told 247Sports' Zach Blostein this week that he's set to travel to Penn State, Virginia, Ohio State, Louisville, Georgia, Auburn and Texas A&M in June in addition to making the trip to Tennessee.

He and his Hickory Ridge team are at UNC in a huge 7-on-7 passing tournament in Chapel Hill

Lost a kid to a local private school for basketball. His future isn’t basketball, lol. Poor decision moving forward. Kid was a stud opposite Christian.

FWIW, Christian’s coach was recruited by Mac Brown during his first stint at UNC.

Played there but Mac was at Texas by the time he got there.
