this is from an NC State message board, thought you guys would be interested in an ACC fans view on Kiffin.

I guess he really is the talk of every town.

It's in college football's best interest for Kiffin to fail miserably at UT. Back to the recruiting mess, no one has a huge problem with his Urban bashing, kind of funny. But to sit here and defend Kiffin when he talks about how Urban was commiting violations with regards to that NewKeese guy? JB, you get on here and say that these are all minor violations that Kiffin has committed and that we are all trolls? Then how exactly would you describe Kiffin's choice to criticize Urban's recruting tactics on TV. If the media are all trolls, then Kiffin's no better, and he brought it up this issue to boot, so is he the ultra Troll? Moral of the story, I could care less if he says Urban fondles sheep, that's all fun and games. Just don't accuse him of impropriety in his profession when you do the same. And certainly don't have members of your fanbase call other whistle blowers in the media "trolls" when you're coach is the ultimate troll.

The bigger issue is the precedent he's starting. If Kiffin has success with his reckless mouth and classless character, then other coaches will pick up on it and it will perpetuate throughout the game which would be disaster to me. What's going to happen is that Florida will hang 50 on UT, and Kiffin will say that Urban has no integrity and cry because he ran up the score, you're not going to see too many two way roads with Kiffin. I'd be embarassed to have this guy as a coach, but if that's what it takes to recruit and subsequently win, then college football needs to re examine the landscape. Like I said, I don't mind the careless bickering and chest thumping he projects, but don't corss that line and say that Urban is breaking rules and violating NCAA policy, especially if you're doing it ten times over.

Kiffin IS the ultimate troll. He is trolling all of the SEC, especially Florida.

And I love every minute of it.

until recent years, they have had a consistant competitive basketball team against the toughest of ACC schools.

football related, from 2000-2003 they were in a bowlgame every year with a 11-3 2002 season, and a win in the Gator bowl.

to say they are a joke program would be stretching it. recent years and coaching changes have kept them from any real success, Ill give you that.

...not to mention Phillip Rivers went pro, and then they sucked.

Well my first problem with that big load of garbage is ....WHAT KIFFIN SAID WASNT ON TV! Im sure there were some media and reporters on in the room. What was said was in front of a bunch Vol boosters and fans. The people that act like Kiffin said it on national tv in front of the whole nation are a bunch of friggin idiots.

all that from an NC STATE fan.geez.they have been irrelevant for how mant years.as bad as we were last year,we could of prolly hung 50 on them. dont care if they went to a bowl or not,they are in the acc,and as far as im concerend,that conference is as weak as the mac. what they got va tech and thats about it.

Hey while were at it lets see what The Citadel fans have to say....who cares what rest of the country think. 105 days till season and all eyes will be on us, its what we all wanted, right? GO VOLS

What I've never understood is why people think UF will hang 50+ on us this year just because of Kiffin's comments. I don't think their players will all of a sudden try harder to run the score up then they would have otherwise. It's not like Fulmer said anything about UF before the '07 game, but they still tried to run the score up anyway (of course, it's also our job to at least try to stop them).

I wish I had the ability to predict what's going to happen. Ask him who's going to win the NC this year...I could use a few bucks.

But seriously, can anyone name NC State's coach off the top of their head?

It is weird that a NC State fan would be talking Tennessee..... I actually think most of these guys have no clue what is being built here and if they do they are insanely jealous because their programs remain stagnant.

I know I was really frustrated about our program the last 8 years, so I was upset when the Gators chose CUM to come in and let the Zooker go and we stood off to the sideline and did nothing.
