I get the sinking feeling that this season has hurt Coop in ways we'll never know. She seems ... broken. I'm going to be sending good thoughts to her daily.Coops initial reaction: You win some, you lose some. Literally said that.
Interestingly, she got asked almost exactly the infamous Evina question… What do you think needs to change? Fortunately for Coop, her answer was so incoherent that it couldn’t possibly have offended anyone
Please please get poor Coop some help communicating. She is quite possibly the most inarticulate LV of all time.
Reminds me very much of Rennia Davis her last year under Holly. Remember how worried we were about her?I get the sinking feeling that this season has hurt Coop in ways we'll never know. She seems ... broken. I'm going to be sending good thoughts to her daily.![]()
Oh, she's definitely stubborn, Toxically so.More like a jackass, as in stubborn as a mule.
The one thing Coop successfully communicated was that she was aware coach was going back to the hardcore system and would not be changing. Yippee Skippy. Good times.
And even if she can’t see it, she could easily Google a list of why more coaches don’t run that system, the same way I did out of curiosity.Oh, she's definitely stubborn, Toxically so.
But come on. Doesn't she also need to be a little dumb to not see the blatantly obvious? I have a 9-year-old great-niece who recently explained to me her observations about why the Lady Vol system isn't working. A freaking 9-year-old child can see the problems with Kim's system!
6:17-7:00 she discussed the plan B which sounds an awful lot like normal basketball. Running offensive sets, leaving players on the floor longer, etc. She acts like that’s why we had a losing season but I never saw these things except probably during our Kentucky game….which we won. Then she says that the team basically defaulted to plan B just so they could stay on the floor longer and “thats not how it works”I mean it’s maddening to listen to her
People expecting her to learn and change are denying the reality of who she is as a coach. She isn’t going to adjust, and we’re all along for the Danny and Kim ride to the bottom. And even if she can’t see it, she could easily Google a list of why more coaches don’t run that system, the same way I did out of curiosity.
Turns out the simple Google list contains every horrible thing that happened to her over and over this season. But for some reason, none of that appears to have registered with her. Or if it did, it was all blamed on those rotten apples that spoiled the barrel. She simply appears not to have eyes to see.
She seems to have a special ability to take something that should be simple and straightforward, like situational subbing, and make it harder than Chinese algebra. It’s one of the big inherent flaws of this system, everything about it is working harder, but not smarter. Also she pretty much confirmed that rotations are pre planned and this is the first time in her career that they never knew which player was going to go in with a specific group. You can’t pre plan your subbing! Insane.
She's delusional. Or a coaching cocktail with equal parts sociopath and overt narcissist. And even if she can’t see it, she could easily Google a list of why more coaches don’t run that system, the same way I did out of curiosity.

I swear Danny has got the major hots for her and will stick it out with her for as long as he canThe arrogance is astounding.
Probably the last press conference I'll watch; I'm starting to dislike her beyond the sheer ineptitude she displays as a coach.
Exactly why she needs to go. This is not a learn as you go jobHere's what is most concerning about the prospect of her getting a third year: Regardless of whether she triples down on her system or totally ditches it and starts coaching more conventional basketball, it's likely to fail next season.
First, she may end up with far less talent on her roster next season than she had this season, and she may be starting completely from scratch teaching her system to an entirely new team again. Not promising at all.
But even if she were convinced to totally ditch her system and start anew, does anyone really believe that a coach JUST LEARNING how to coach conventional basketball for the first time is going to do all that great with all new and likely lesser quality players in what will be, in essence, her first year of coaching a new way for her???
How and where is a woman who is also caring for a baby going to go to learn how to coach an entirely new way well enough to compete in her first year of learning about it? She'll know as much as the average high school coach after only a few months, but people want to see how she'll "right the ship"?
It's ridiculous.
That image where Tennnesse’s only player who was stepping up— Coop— sitting on the bench distraught and confused and CKC refusing to make any eye contact and acting like Coop was invisible absolutely made me really angry. Say what you will about Kellie, you always knew she cared about her players. All of CKC talk about the love on the team seems like another denial of reality.Reminds me very much of Rennia Davis her last year under Holly. Remember how worried we were about her?
That’s why I just want Coop in a situation that will be good for her.
