That's why people say the dividends will pay off 3-4 years down the road. I know it's not what people want to hear but it's hard to fight off a stigma (good or bad) that the kids grow up with. These kids coming up now have only seen Tennessee compete for a CFP

Bingo. Gotta enjoy the climb! I got that weird fandom where I think these are some of the best times. Can win vs anybody. Can lose vs a lot of teams.

Odd that fans of every team enjoy the climb and when the team gets good, we expect them to keep accelerating at the same pace. Suddenly 10 wins means nothing without a championship. If a team wins a championship every five years it should be won every 2 years. Win every 2 years it should be every year. Win it every year and they not only have to win but better look good doing it. I’ve tried to change how I look at sports and enjoy the game, celebrate a win and move on after a loss. Hope for the best out of our team and not pile on (as much) when they struggle.
