We need a place to discuss all the games in a thread where the former or future matchups in the playoffs can be analyzed since party pooper milo got the "1st reound thread" locked... :p Limiting discussion to a single series per thread diminishes our creativity.... :birgits_giggle:

Looks like the makings of a barn burner. Of course if Duncan only comes up with 5 or so points again, the Spurs could be looking at an 0-2 deficit.

Now when Parker goes to the basket he gets blocked but when Paul goes in the lane parts like the Red Sea..

Who won the NBA title last year? Who? The Spurs? You gotta be kidding me...

Enjoy it now toxic, because when the Spurs defeat the Hornets in 6 you'll be crying.

That you don't have a brain. No one can support a legitimate argument that the Hornets are better than the Spurs. People should learn to not pick against the Spurs.

Don't you sound confident. WHEN the Spurs WIN, I'll take a page out of your book with a simple reply "OWNAGE".

Haha, this has been fun. Now I just have to wait for the Spurs to win in 6 games to make you look foolish

I rule.

Who was it that bet me the Spurs will win game 2? I think it was rockytopvol...he can't post again until game 3. The mods deleted it though.

When was the last time San Antonio was forced to play zone defense in the playoffs? I honestly can't remember. The Spurs also seem to be struggling in transition (particularly in the second halves when old man bursitis sets in). The differential in quickness and athleticism is almost alarming. If San Antonio doesn't hold serve at home, they can forget about back-to-back world championships. I don't see them being able to overcome a 3-1 deficit heading back to New Orleans for Game 5.

Side Note: Juilian Wright has really been the Energizer Bunny off the bench for the Hornets. He's provided them some excellent minutes in both series (especially on the defensive end). Julian even drilled one from behind the arc tonight.

It's not necesarily that the first round was over, it was more the large amount of asshattery going on in that thread.

That has been his role the entire second half in the season. Whenever the team gets a little down he will come out of nowhere with a huge block/alley oop and re energize everyone on the team.

limit Parker going to the hole and the Spurs just don't have a lot of offensive options. Their linchpin is still the D, but it didn't make the trip to New Orleans.

How come KG is the only one of the big three to score so far tonight? 4:00 left in the first half.
