NBA Player Rankings

Bosh and Aldridge probably belong ahead of Duncan.

And Pau is too high.

All the twitter posts were saying Duncan was just getting a lifetime achievement award... Which I sort of agree with. He might be one of the most fundamentally sound players in the history of the game and is one of the best big men of all time, but not right now.

I agree with you on Aldridge, homer pick here but I think last season cemented him as one of the five best bigs in the league.

LeBron James does not, at all, belong at #1. It's apparent he's not even the best player on his own team.

I still think LeBron is #1. But it isn't like it is impossible to argue against it.

Think Wade should be #1? Or Howard?

Wade has always, since Marquette/draft day, seemed to have that chip on his shoulder. And I love watching him play when he's on.

I personally would take Wade in a close one over Dwight, just because there are still some things Dwight can't do. If I were to put Howard #1, it would be because he's by far the best player at the most important position in the game.

Not to say he's not a nice player either, and I think he could make for a good role player on a good team, but that's about it. No good team is going to run their offense through him, or let him take over on D a'la Howard.

I seem to remember you telling everyone how a Love-for-Pau trade would be ridiculously unbalanced because Love is so much better.
That's funny. Some guys offense can be played through, most it can't. Pau is one of the few. Love is not.

The defensive silliness above about being handled by stats is ridiculous. Guys that make it hard to score just make it hard to score. Increased athleticism has shrunk the floor and made guys who can get their own shot THE premium players.

Grizz tied for 4th with most top 50 players at 3 (three teams have four) and tied for 1st with 7 top 100 players.

K Love would be interesting on another team. But I myself am interested in seeing what Rick Adelman can do with the Wolves. See if he can build something good around Love or if he's just there for the paycheck. Should be fun.

Also, I agree with the rankings. I think the Top 3 are arguably interchangeable based on different views and values but overall a good rank.
