Screw the NBA and it's lottery. Griz have the best chance last year and get the 4th pick. They have the 5th best chance this year and get the 5th pick. :furious3:
A #23 from Chicago is a top draft prospect and the Bulls get the #1 pick. Just saying.
Griz are going to be boring and bad for yet another year. Next year's draft is far from good too.
The Grizz had the 4th best chance, I think. But who really cares?
Obviously, they still have a chance to get a good player (Mayo, Gordon, Lopez, Jordan, Love, etc.), but it would be nice to get one of those future perennial all-stars like Rose or Beasley.
The Griz were tied for the 4th worst record this year. They lost a coin flip with Minnesota and got the 5th best chance. And I would say Griz fans care.
I don't think any of them will have multiple All-Star appearances, except maybe Mayo. I REALLY hope the Griz don't take Lopez. I would rather have Jordan, maybe even Love.
You wont have a shot at Lopez, which is unfortunate because he would be the best player the Griz could get outside of Rose or Beasley. Have fun with O.J. Mayo and another season of dominant inside play from Kwame Brown, Darko Milicic, Jason Collins, and Brian Cardinal.
No doubt he can be good, but he's been overhyped for a long time now. He's a combo guard at 6'4, on a team that already has Conley, Crittenton, Lowry, and Mike Miller. The Griz have D-league caliber post-players, and seem unwilling to do anything about it.
Mayo's potential is much higher than Lopez's IMO. Yes, they are overloaded at guard (quantity, not quality) but you have to draft the best player available. Mayo is 3rd IMO behind the big two. Will Lopez be an improvement down low, yes, but I don't think he can be an All-Star. I think Mayo could be. Lopez is a little stronger/aggressive than Pau but doesn't have Pau's skills. I would rather trade down and get Jordan out of TAMU if they wanted to get a big man.
