Its been a very good year so far so I thought there should be a thread dedicated to NBA talk. A couple things to watch for IMO

1. A Chris Paul vs Deron Williams rivalry will emerge. ESPN has been hyping up these two since they were drafted and it will show this year. These 2 will emerge as 2 of the top PGs in the game.

2. Celtics have looked amazing early this season. Can they keep it up? I think so.

3. Spurs look as solid as ever. Possible repeat?

4. Josh Smith will break out into a top tier player.

5. 4 of the Best 8 Teams in the West are in the Southwest Division IMO. Going to be some great games in that division.

The Celtics will make the Finals this year in a weak East Division.

Miami Heat suck again this year. Time for Shaq to retire.

So were a lot of people.

A lot of people in the NBA and the media have been suffering because New York, Boston and Philadelphia have all been sucking in recent years.

I'm kind of starting to get tired of the Celtics talk already... But yes, they will definitley make the title game out of the NBA's junior varsity division.

i will be the first to admit i have very limited NBA knowledge these days. Especially this summer where I didn't get to learn about anything new due to time constraints. But weren't the Bulls supposed to be on the rise? what happened?

Hornets pull it out in OT. David West is one of the most underrated offensive PFs in the League. He just dropped 40 on Memphis. Tyson Chandler had a double double with 12 points and 17 rebounds. Hornets are now first in the loaded Southwest division with a record of 8-2.

Rudy Gay was clutch in the closing moments of the 4th. That was a great game.

Kevin Durant just hit a sick 3 pointer as the clock expired to beat the Hawks 126-123 in double OT.

Joe Johnson had 39 I think and Al Horford picked up a double double. The Hawks actually appear to be watchable this season . . . and that's saying something.

I really wasn't paying much attention, but I think Smith strained a quad earlier this week.

Orlando beat the Celtics tonight. Looked like it was a great game.

Hornets and Magic face off tomorrow night in what could be another really good game. I think Chris Paul is questionable though.

It looks like Miami is looking to trade with the Kings for Mike Bibby once the he returns from his hand injury. Guess they're not too happy with Smush Parker or White Chocolate.

Chicago has been titled contender material for the past few seasons, espicaly comming out of the East. I think some of thier problems this yer is some chemistry problems with all the Kobe to Chicago talk.
