Nba 2k12

So I won my first title and MVP with the Heat in my 3rd season. Even though they signed Melo (who the game pretends is an amazing player) in the offseason, I chose to sign with the Jazz. Honestly, they are my team, but it was the best situation with all the bigs they have. I'm now easily leading the league in assists, and we are first in the west. My guy has a 99 player rating.

You have a 99 overall after just 3 seasons?

3 games left in the regular season, my team is in first place by 6 games. I'm 2nd in the league in scoring, but Darren Collisson is beating me for MVP.

I'm in season 4, but yeah, achieved a 99 during the playoffs of my 3rd season. I played every game of my rookie season, and since have only played key games (I started at 60, and got to 80 by the end of my rookie season). I did the dribble course (it's the easiest) for all drills because I could get 400 SP, and +1 on the included skills every time. That was a big factor.

So do you just start off with putting your skill points towards the shooting abilities?

Playing Denver in the 1st round. Galinari is 18/18 from 3. As a team they've shot 100% in two quarters, this game is so dumb sometimes.

Ok guys, what abilities or attributes should I level up first? I'm ~23 games into the first season, 64 overall. Skill points aren't exactly rolling in, but I've already gained some tips to increase them in the future. I have already added some points to my inside and close shot, 3 pointer, and offensive and defensive clutch.

I'm 6'7, 200 lb. athletic SG. Fixtha Fernback (would be stoked if anyone knows the reference). Thanks guys!

I went for speed, quickness, and layup first. Then when I was in the 90s on those I focused equally on steal, shooting, and passing.

NBA 2k has got to be my favorite sports series of all time. I really wish NFL would let 2k make their version of NFL games again. I can only imagine how awesome those would be ala NFL 2k5.

I'm a center for the Pacers. Just got the game today and played five games already. I'm averaging 16/8 coming off the bench.

I have a question:

How do you set picks? I can really shoot mid-range and learning how to set picks would be helpful.

I'm in my 11th season. 6'8 240 SF for the Bulls after stints with Golden State, Utah, and Miami Average 33-9-5. Won 4 MVPs, 3 titles.

My player is pretty addicting. I only play the important games though.

Got on another kick with this game. Playing "my player" with a center, and the rebounding and blocking functionality is really bad. I'm 7' 2", and am a 99 on rebounding, and I am much more likely to get 10 assists than I am to get 10 rebounds. I go whole halves without getting a board sometimes.

You have to be perfectly aligned between the shooter and the basket in order to block a shot. The easiest block in the world isn't happening if you are to the side of the shooter. So stupid.

Any rebounding tips?

A friend and I bought this to play online because it was only like 10-15 bucks but the servers are down and we can't even play.

I'd still like to get some use out of it but with the servers down, it also won't give me the rookies. Is there anyone that knows how to update the roster with the servers down? Preferably the last stock roster update?

Should have just sprung for the new game but we weren't invested in it enough to spend 50 bucks.
