Navy Shuler coming home.

I’m not trying to hate on our team or anything they had a good year. But we only scored 13 vs Penn State with Heath freaking Shuler at QB also should have beaten Florida. We underachieved a little that year

I'm a Shuler fan. But seeing him and Benji on the sidelines against Penn State laughing while getting it handed to us still burns. Only because it was still not known if he was leaving or coming back. With that said, met him in Atlantis a few years ago and he was as genuine as you can be.

I agree that is a bad look on his part. Again I lay some of that on coaching

I am excited to have Navy Shuler here. I think the kid realizes he will be a back up and is okay with that. He is a legacy player and those are always good to have. I am 62 and pretty much have followed Tennessee close over the past 50 years. We had lots of great quarterbacks, but I think naming a top five is impossible to do. The game and situations have changed so much over time no one knows how someone would have performed in different eras. Heath Shuler was a baller and played some great games. Everyone was disappointed when he didnt return for his senior season, but like it has been said he wasnt a trust fund baby. My all time favorite UT quarterback is Andy Kelly. He wasnt highly rated out of high school and was signed as an after thought, but boy he had heart. When Manning was breaking records it was Andy Kelly who held a lot of them. Robinson, Holloway, Manning, Shuler, Anige, Clauson, Dobbs, Hooker, Kelly, Martin and many more made us proud through the years. I think Casey Clauson was a beast who with the right coaching would have played on Sundays a long time. I for one am excited to have Navy as a Vol if he never does nothing but play some mop up. Every time he takes the field it will invoke memories of his dad and bring a smile to an old guy's eye. Go Vols and thank God for Coach Huepel!

Sometimes you have to laugh in the face of adversity. Sometimes you HAVE to laugh at yourself when you fail in proportions beyond the limits of your imagination. I would not get too worked up without some facts and those will be hard to come by. I have seen Peyton on the sidelines shake his head and roll his eyes after bad plays and tough games when he knew the problems were on him. No telling what he might have done if Eli was there at the time.
