Mike Wilson reporting that 14 prospects likely to sign today. 3 are not expected to sign. 2 of the 3 delaying are, unsurprisingly, clients of Scott Boras if I’m reading this correctly. That guy sucks.

The 3rd was a surprise though. Landon Thome. His mom was on Twitter praising the Elander hire, but it says his status is TBD following Vitello’s departure. Hope we can hold on to him.

Obviously nothing is guaranteed, but I find it hard to believe Thome's son would/will ever make it to campus

Very similar to Manny Ramirez' son a couple years ago

Those guys have plenty of $$ and probably prefer to go pro if they get drafted

An MLB lockout can significantly affect the draft by prompting major rule changes. I have seen Joe Doyle and some draft guys talk about the upcoming drafts and how we may see more go to college because of the uncertainty of signing bonuses and how many minor league teams there will be etc.
