Jordan Young has flipped to Florida State after all. This one stings. Tennessee unearthed him weeks ago and was his first FBS offer.

Florida is having a rough day. Not only did 5 star tackle Nicholas Petit-Frere flip from Florida to Ohio state but 4 star QB Noah Boykin just flipped from Florida for ND. Florida struggling makes me smile.

The East will be owned by GA for the foreseeable future. Their class is sick

I am getting a little depressed. I was hoping for just a few big name guys. I really thought we might get Young.

Tough day.

Post and you shall receive. Right after posting I was depressed I see this:

JJ Peterson signs with Tennessee. Alabama made a late push, but Tennessee prevails. This was one that the Vols had to have.

I can't help but at least wonder if our new coach staying with that other school through the championship game helped or hurt Tennessee.

Olaijah Griffin signs with USC. Tennessee was heavily in the mix here, but lost momentum late.

I really think some of you will like some of these additions, such as Trevon Flowers, Joesph Norwood. On film, they are as good as many Ive seen at least in the four-star range.

Eh, ease up on enjoying that schadenfreude. We’ve known for several days that NPF was out, Boykin stung a little, but that wasn’t a huge need position, but landing Copeland and Chatfield was HUGE. This Gator is smiling, and we’ve got 2 or 3 still out there.

The reality of today's results is that Tennessee faces the prospect of struggling to be competitive in 2021-2022. That's not mean spirited, that's just how recruiting numbers pan out. You see results from a class in its junior and senior years. And in this instance it's not even about who has signed with Tennessee, as much as it is who hasn't. Lack of position needs, depth at others, etc. The staff is going to have to work harder than anyone else in the country next year to make up for a thinner signing list this time around.

I just saw Quay Walker chuck the UT hat and strip down to his UGA gear on twitter. He should be a good dawg because he is already a little *****.

Bro just play wait and see. We have been sitting around for years hoping our 3 star players are like Cam Sutton. He has been the only 3 star player at UT in a while who has shined.

At least we have Basketball

What we know so far:

Four star running back Anthony Grant has flipped to Florida State. Grant had been committed to Tennessee since the summer of 2017.

Four star cornerback Eddie Smith choses Alabama, as expected. There’s one corner target off the board.

Tennessee has picked up a commitment from defensive end prospect John Mincey. The 6-4, 255 pounder is a three star prospect.

Five star corner Tyson Campbell has chosen the Georgia Bulldogs. Tennessee got in really late with Campbell, getting him on campus for a visit.

Tennessee signs three star safety Trevon Flowers.

Tennessee signs three star receiver Cedric Tillman.

Tennessee signs four star safety Joseph Norwood out of Chattanooga (thats a good one!)

Cedric Tillman and Joseph Norwood are 2 stars per Rivals, and Sports247 has them as 3 stars....

Since they joined the SEC, Missouri has had reasonable success (SEC title game appearance) and definitely dominated Tennessee on the field with recruiting classes that no one would regard as stellar. Tennessee needs to get the same amount of value out of their coaches that Missouri has done over most of the last ten years. Forget Ga. and Fla., teams like Missouri and Mullen's Miss state are our new touchstones.

We have to face the fact that we are not a "name" to these kids... most of them were 5 years old when we last mattered.
