Not dissing the hire. Actually like it a lot. I think the quote was meaningful and says a lot for Saban to say it. Just the two colors seem odd together. Years of conditioning I guess.

Right after saTan said those things about Pruitt he started throwing chairs through windows.

Lil nicky saTan loves Pruitt and he really hates losing him.

I'm totally A'ight with that.

VFL...GBO!!!

Never thought I would see a Saban quote on official UT graphics
He'll be retiring in a coupla' years, so maybe ol' Saint Nick's hoping to be liked afterward. That or he's picked Coach Pruitt to take up the reins in Tuscaloosa. Regardless, it's a classy statement from the most complete college football coach ever. I hate to admit that, but his record speaks for itself.

So much class. All the coaches quotes have been class.

Didn’t see Mark Richt comment on the hire, which is funny.

This is absoulute garbage, and is a direct contradiction to the BS narrative that ESPN has been spinning: That UT fans should have been grateful to have a coach as good as Schiano willing to come here. Here is a newsflash, Louis Riddick... UT fans ARE DIRECTLY responsible for the fact that TENNESSEE has Pruitt as their head coach. FACT.

Nahh

Like him or not that is a classy statement from Saban

Saban also gave Derek Dooley great accolades.

So what? He never gave Dooley the responsibility he gave Pruitt. I think we all knew Dooley was a deer in the headlights. If it wasn't for Daddy Dooley we'd have never heard of DD.

Pruitt is a leader and a doer. We've seen that in just the few hrs he's been on the job. Win or lose that's what I want to see

Every Bama fan I've talked to is pissed he left.

A lot of them wanted him to take over when Saban retired.

Not a ton of insight there considering Bama fans are one of the most ignorant fan bases in the country, but it is a stark contrast to the indifference shown by UC fans in 2012.

As he did Sal Sunseri also. We all know how that turned out........

and now for the obligatory rebuttal of:

But Smart, Fisher, and Kiffin. Some have it, some don't. I for one believe Mr. Pruitt has what some like to call the "intangibles"

He will be good, possibly great.

What is Tennessee Getting in Jeremy Pruitt - Dawg Sports

"At that time, I would say half the players on our roster were very good athletes and the other half were straight up stealing. By stealing, I mean getting an education, food and housing for free without having a shot to see SEC minutes. Pruitt was fully aware of this and this increased his intensity tenfold. He basically made half the players so uncomfortable that they really had no other choice but to transfer. He needed more room for his players."

I expect significant player turnover. We might have a rough year next year.
