You better not be thinkin' about anything less boys. You better be thinking you're number one and you better bust some heads.

You better wear that Big Orange T in humility and in honor and you better beat somebody. And every time you hit somebody you better yell...CHAMPIONS BABY>>>>>>CHAMPIONS!!!!!!!!!!

You better not think of anything less and you better think about it every second of every snap. You better not give up or hang your head or look at somebody else when you screw up. You better pull up your boot straps and go to work! Champions WORK baby and they don't blame ANYBODY but themselves when they screw up and once they screw up they recognize that they screwed up and then they pick their chin UP and they get UP and they go back to WORK....DO YOU HEAR ME!!!

You better be thinking CHAMPIONS....CHAMPIONS of every second of every day because it takes nothing less.

You better listen when that coach tells you what to do and you better concentrate on the task at hand. You may fall tomorrow and never be able to play this great game again...EVER! Don't you waste your shot. Don't you do it.

Stay humble. Stay hungry. Don't you hang your head. Don't you hang your head. You HIT somebody and you let somebody know that you're THERE and you're WAITIN on them and you're going to BUST THEIR HEAD!

And then after you bust their head you reach your hand down like a man and you help that man back up and smack him on the rear end and tell him good job. You better not talk smack. You better not.

You better stay humble boy and you better stay strong and you better concentrate on the task at hand.

You better look up and know you're nothin. You're nothin. You better look up and acknowledge it. You should be honored just to be on that field and you better respect it. Only when you do that will you be SOMETHIN!

CHAMPIONSHIP MENTALITY. You better have it every day. Champions I say!

Champions!

Tennessee Volunteers......CHAMPIONS!!

Ohhhhhhh, YEAAAAAAAH!!!!!!!!

Positivity on this site is quickly met with ridicule and doubt. Why can't you people just let us eternal optimists enjoy being positive?

I'd hate to live with the view that some of you preach as truth.

No doubt man...some of the worst attacks I've taken on this board for being optimistic about our football team and predicting victory have come from fellow Vol fans...not the fans of an opposing team

Anything can happen...I thought after Peyton left we would lose most of our games in 98, but guess what that didn't happen...So keep thinking positive and maybe it will happen...

I am 100% certain that our positive thinking will have 0 impact on our Saturdays.

I don't think there is a single team on our schedule that I would consider as an automatic loss. Not one single team. Yes, there are a couple games that are going to be very close if we win but it is a real possibility not a pipe-dream. So, if we find a way to get by every opponent whether it be that we just play out of our minds or that they have a really bad day, then we could potentially be in a position to play in the National Championship game. We wouldn't have been National Champions in '98 if the Arkansas QB not have made one of the all time wierdest plays in college football by laying the ball on the ground for anyone to pick up. It takes hard work, great play and a bunch of luck to win it all. We could have all three this year. You just never know.

Go Vols!

I see CaptainOrange managed to find the crack pipe again. Although I do find it a bit odd you start out so late. Most of the junkies on my block are asleep by now.

Attitude and effort are so critical! I told my children that a B is not a good grade if you could easily have made an A, with some effort. By the same token, a C is a good grade if you are busting your butt.

Effort and attitude.

That's the verry kind of things this team have not had the past few years and I feel things are about to change and I will be there to rub the pessimist nose in it and say the the words of old I TOLD YOU SO. FIRST AND LAST OF ALL A VOL.
