Makes me nervous. I hope our teams has all communication as far as Internet wise shut off and can just focus on UMass. We have the team to seriously make some noise.

UMass message board posters wanted Iowa. They don't like how they match up with Stokes and Maymon.

I realize that we had some head scratching losses of our own but UMass lost at home on 2/12 to George Mason 91-80 and Mason finished 11-20 and next to last in the Atlantic 10. Fwiw, our only common opponent was LSU and we both won (they won at home 92-90 on 11/12 and we won on the road 68-50).

We have lost some head scratchers though. Honestly, I don't think Martin could have asked for a better tournament situation for his first time.

When was our game with LSU?

A nerdy statistician. He has his own website but I can't remember it. Google it

Yes he looks like a nerd but he is most known for the Sabermetrics analysis of Baseball players as seen in Moneyball and for also correctly predicting 49-50 states in the 2008 Presidential election and correctly predicting all 50 states in the 2012 election.

Believe he correctly predicted every bowl game this year with his formula.

I'm pretty sure that didn't actually happen (That would be REALLY HARD and almost statistically impossible given the number of bowl games and the amount of closely contested ones) but he is generally pretty solid. He's actually known more for his presidential election predictions. He came pretty close to calling every state back in 2008 (Indiana to Obama was a shocker) and he called every state correctly in 2012. Of course, that's not really all that hard. I could have called all 50 correctly just by taking the leader in aggregate poll numbers in every state.

Wow, Umass scores alot of points. Not sure if UT could score 90 if they played the lady vols. Hope we have the defense to hold them under 70.

Isn't their best player their smallish point guard? We know Richardson can shut down the top SG's, what's his history guarding fast point guards?

Barton is more than likely going to draw Chaz Williams...just hope our help defense is on point on Friday. The good news is I doubt UMass has played a team that's as good as us on D though. CCM has to gameplan to take Chaz out just like he did Marble.
