Still whining about how hard the Vols celebrated after beating Vanderbilt. All week long all we heard was how they should throw out the record books, Franklin has these kids playing, these aren't your grandfather's Commodores, etc. Essentially, all week long, we were instructed to ignore the history of this matchup; it was irrelevant.

Fast forward a week, now all of a sudden Tennessee is supposed to "act like we've been there before"? These kids are being shamed for celebrating too much, in an overtime victory against an evenly matched team, an instate rival, and a game that was an elimination game for a bowl game?

So what is it Nashville media? History only matters from the aggressors standpoint? Agree or disagree with the level of excitement... from Baton Rouge, to the Music City Bowl, to scoring like one touchdown this past October, how hard is it to understand the importance of this win, and how easy it was for those emotions to boil over?

Sounds like the Nashville media placed bets that the Dores would be victorious and lost their a** and now they are feeling cheated that big brother once again chalked another W at their expense and the locker room celebration drove them over the edge.

Never will I enjoy driving through Nashville, on my way to Crossville, for Thanksgiving, as much as I will tomorrow. Normally I just have a large Power T on my back truck window...but I may throw on a few large UT magnets. It'll be years before Candy has a better chance to beat us. Screw 'em.

UT has been over-celebrating wins against crappy teams for too long now. Hopefully we can get back to stomping a mud hole on these teams and celebrating wins over UF, Bama, LSU, etc.

There's some logic for you. We used to be good ten years ago, therefore we shouldn't acknowledge our current station in the college football world.

I have no desire to boycott, I lose sleep over their ignorance. I'm just sharing my thoughts with like minded fans.

I understand your frustration. I live outside of Nashville and listened to their show for some time, but after a while I got tired of listening to Mark Howard trash every fan that called in and had an opinion.

So I quite listening.

This type of stuff happens in locker rooms all the time...the little b*tches that are trying to make a big deal out of it need to stop the bleeding out of their ass and realize that UT will dominate Vandy forever.

Franklin has changed the culture from a 2 win team to a 5 win team, that is as far as the culture change will go.

I quit listening to 104.5 when Mark Howard made the comment that D. Rogers just hasn't been that good. What the heck is he watching? Rogers should be an All American.

Yeah, that's exactly what I said.

Supposedly we're UT with all this tradition and history, etc. and we act like we just won the Super Bowl after beating Vandy.

Situational emotions are often unpredictable, and after that October then all the Vandy fluff talking down about Tennessee's celebration is mindless.

Nashville has the most homer media there is. The most idiotic part is that there are way more Vol fans living inside Nashville. How many other companies go out of their way to piss off their largest customer base?

Living in Charlotte I'd take negative UT talk over ACC talk. Those reporters do seem quite chappable by the Doolster. Not sure exactly why could be he ridicules their questions and closes practice but I don't really care either way. I do look forward to all of us not having to breath a sigh or relief after Vandy games though.

This is why I tune in to the sports animal online. They actually talk about Tennessee Football.

There are only a couple hundred people in Nashville that care enough about Vandy football to tune in and listen to someone talk about their team.
