Is it still using the analog sticks for steering or is there an option this year for the D-pad. Last years analog only sucked.

It is absolutley impossible to start anywhere in the pack and not wreck out with the controller. I challenge anyone to start in the middle on Talladega or Daytona and finish the race without getting blacked flagged or wrecking out. I have about a benjamin that says you cannot do it.

yeah I had to go with the wheel last yr...I finished up the truck, nationwide, and sprint championships this weekend...plus took out Gordon with 82 wins...I did alot of racing this weekend

My dad used to do full length races without wrecking his car. He did it on Nascar 08. I know I can't do it but he somehow can.

08 sucked, it was impossible to play without a steering wheel... 09 is more "user friendly" as they put it, but its almost too easy... I dont get it, everytime I qualify I get 1st, which sucks.. I like to start in the middle but not the very end.. I turned qualify assist off, anyone have any suggestions?

I just hit the wall twice on a qualifying lap and still got the pole.... also I just finished a full truck season and the same 2 people finish up front every race, thats annoying

...........and black flags for rough driving make me want to throw my remote through my tv :banghead2:

Yes turn it on Pro Driving Style and turn the opponents strength off of easy.

I, as are many others, am having trouble with the game. It comes to the main screen and then just freezes, but all of my other games work fine. I heard that was a major problem with the game for this same reason

Yeah mine has froze many times in the main menu, And i found out why you get your butt kicked so bad going online if you dont do the nascar challenge deal and get your engine at 100% and all other the setting's at a 100% .. you wil get smoked......and there is not a cheat code that i have found yet.....

yeah, but most of the challenges aren't really that hard, you should easily be able to beat them in a couple of hours. the only ones that can be a little frustrating are the ones where you have to get through the huge pileup with no damage.

yeah I've had some freezing issues as well...froze up a couple times when I was racing with mason and smokey as well...also the challenges I have trouble on are the ones you have to pit and finish first..I'll pit..take no tires and half a tank of gas and still run out of time.

anybody know who to get past the freezing period of the game? it does it when it tries to pull up my profile and then just freezes. should I take it back to the store and get a different one or what?

and yeah, the hardest challenges are the ones where you have to get by a huge pile up with out running into a car or the wall and have to stay on the track

Just got this game for the 360 last nite and started playing online with it today. I've not had the freezing up problems yet but it's aggravaiting to race online and wait on guys to take 100 practice laps before racing.

EA finally made a patch for the game. the performace points mean nadda now online,makes the game alot better and speeds are more realestic.
