Tennessee Wesleyan is 2019 NAIA baseball champion
Not NCAA, but as this is a small university located in eastern Tennessee, figured that it might be worth mentioning.
The Tennessee Wesleyan University Bulldogs baseball team, from Athens Tennessee, won the NAIA World Series on Friday night, June 1st. This is the second time the TWU Bulldogs baseball programs has won the NAIA World Series, their first time being in 2012. Quite an history achievement, IMO, for a small private university team to achieve such a level of success. Out of 251 schools at the NAIA level, TWU is now one of only 8 current or former NAIA level programs to win two or more NAIA World Series championships.
