Mykelle McDaniel status?

Calloused Hand said last week that he was still in school, and he expected him to return to the team.

He played his senior year at about 240, but when he enrolled at UT he was about 30 pounds lighter. What was the deal with that? FWIW someone said he was a strict vegetarian, but I don't know if that was an attempt at humor.

I personally am excited to see what our DEs do next year, Mykelle in particular. His high school film looked good and he played at a high level of high school football. He's listed as 6'3 220lbs on the UT sports site, but Hudl has him at 6'6. I could see him getting up to 240 or so and getting some playing time.

But what I'm really amped about is getting to see our DEs actually play DE. Phillips, Kongbo, Mixon, Taylor, Mcdaniel and Smith will likely see most of the playing time. If we add Ray in this class obviously you'd hope he would see the field too. But having Vickers, Kmac, Tuttle, Johnson, Mosely (who's listed as DL now on the roster), Picou and Bain should allow for everyone to be able to play their natural position (as opposed to Phillips and Kongbo spending all of their time inside).

What I like about your post is you did not list every DT and DE on the roster. But if they can stay reasonably healthy and half of them are logging meaningful minutes? That will wear out most teams.
