Thought I'd drop this link for any of you who might want to view the music video I made of VaTech news images. This is not done tribute-style but is more of a collage. Mods, I'm posting it here instead of the Vid forum because needless to say it's not a Vols video. I will respond to any feedback.

Note to self: next time you spend a considerable amount of time creating something and feel proud of it, don't waste your time asking your schmuck friends at VN for their opinions. :)

Jes' kiddin. sort of.

Well, you wanted some feedback so I have some. Paint it Black is from my generation so I can appreciate the music. The work done is very good but the only advice I would give is you should delete any visual reference to the killer. If the murdering fool was left out of the montage I believe you would have an effective presentation. But that's just me.

very good work. good music selection, pictures flowed very well... however, i agree. i wouldn't give the shooter any recognition. honor the police and emt workers, the students and what not, but leave out the shooter... it would take a little longer so i dunno how to make the song work, but if you could show pics of the victims... anyways, it was very good work and very touching. the girl w/ the freckles crying really got me.

hman & bill, thanks alot for checking out the vid. I also appreciate your taking the time to comment. Believe me, I am no fan of Cho's image or his twisted legacy, but the best explanation I can offer is that I wanted to do something distinctly different from the many tribute videos showing up online, not to impugn their sincerity or importance. Mine was intended to be more like an historical collage that includes elements from the entire story. This is why I chose to include the dark images from Cho's NBC package - because they're as much a part of the event as are the victims and the memorials - in an academic sense, I guess. They are disturbing and grotesque to me, but they are part of the history, and that's what my vid was telling as best I could in a short time. In the many documentaries that are surely to come along about this awful event, I feel sure many of them will display some of his images for the same reasons I put them in my vid. But I definitely appreciate the point you are making, and again, thanks for checking it out.
