I feel like he’s going after a head coach with proven capability to run a program through the sanctions and can win with the talent we have and can get with sanctions, white is a top notch AD and I don’t think he’s first real job at a new university will be a hopefully a good coach type hire, he’s looking at what coach to get for situation he just walked into type that can win, who it is I don’t know, and I don’t think ANYBODY else does either but AD White himself

One coach that can do all that you've said and get the most out of the talent is Lane Kiffin. The administration may not want to go there and I could understand. The one year he was here, the Vols played Bama tough.

And it may still be a google coach but I trust him based on his past and what he said in his presser

I don’t think it will be, he seems locked into the knowledge of college football to know a up and comer hire might not be in his best interest maybe 5-10 years down the road but not at the time frame, got to know the coach can win with sanctions

Now I’m not on the “Lane Train” by any means but looking at a AD standpoint I would want somebody that’s proven they could win and recruit through sanctions and unfortunately only one I can think of in recent memory is Kiffin who went 28-15 through USC sanctions, think about it from his standpoint and not yours and who you want, UT athletics is a business

After watching White's presser, going to have to scratch off Kiiffin from White's list... :(

Why is that? Just wondering.... now I’m not on the “lane train” thing but Kiffin has not gotten any sanctions that I can think of and White said everybody is a candidate, I firmly believe freeze is off the list, can you name any other coach that has went through sanctions?
