Obviously I'm beyond pissed today....but I was at the 98 championship game....how did we fall this far and how does it continue to grow worse?

Assuming he remembers teams when I started remembering them (5-7 or so): 2007 was good. 2016 was good.

What you mean is that he hasn't seen a GREAT team yet.

Let me check the official book and see if it a god given or inherent right that UT has to have a good football for us fans. Might take a few minutes to check, I’ll be back.

Edit: Nope!

This means we do not have to be fans or we can root for another team or none at all or just give up on sports and find something else for entertainment. I think I’m going to be a movie critic or a political pundit on cable news.

My kids are teenagers.

I have given up trying to make them vol fans.

And honestly why would I? I love my kids and want them to be happy and have joy.

Are any of us actually happy anymore?

Best UT team I've seen was a 10-4 team in 2007. That is pretty sad.

It absolutely is.....

I remember in 2006 watching college football in general for the first time really. My whole family was huge UT fans, but I hadn't made that choice yet. But in 2007 even though it was a loss at Cal, for some reason that game finally made me a UT fan. I watched it with my whole family and was disappointed with the loss. I knew I was Officially a fan then. But sometimes I can't help and wonder if 2006 me could of made a different decision before the 2007 season started. That's what's sad. Now I'm stuck being a fan of this program forever haha
