Well, so far i've had 2 7290's and both have craped out due to errors. Both times I've gone through the same depressing scenario. Blackberry starts freezing, then reseting, and finally it won't start at all. I reload the os, and it works for a few hours....then it just dies completely. Last time it was under warranty...this one was not. So, off to ebay I go buying another blackberry. :cray:

I dunno either. I have not been terribly impressed with Blackjacks.

IMO the best smartphone out there would be a Palm with Windows Mobile OS.

Off to get a new phone today... Just one to hold me over for a few months until my contract is up. My Motorola just broke.

Possibly a Sony Ericsson W580i or a Samsung Sync.

'Cause I just went in to AT&T and managed to get a rebate on one...

I'm using the Sync right now. It's okay. It's quad-band, while the Sony isn't, so I'll see how that works out. If I like it, the Sync stays. If I don't, I'm ditching it for the Sony. The local store says they get them on the 9th, so I can go return the Samsung by then.

I love the treo but I am a palm os guy. I've never been a big windows mobile fan.

Mine windows based Treo (700w) was good but the reception was awful where I work. I had to refund it and downgrade to a Razr.

I got the new berry today. I really wanted the new curve, but my wife wasn't about to let me spend 300 bucks on a new one. I was pretty surprised at how much nicer it is to have a new phone rather than one that I had beat up for a year....

Good luck with the sync milo. How much faster is the 3G over my tmobile GPRS? I feel like browsing is fast when I have a good signal but it drops off exponentially as the signal degrades. Perhaps the worst part of the older blackberry is the limitations of the older hardware itself. Hopefully by christmas I can upgrade.

Reception is solid, and the 3G setup has been quick wherever I've used it so far. I made a thread on the Sync.
