Louisiana-Monroe @ Auburn: A week ago this would have been a clear cut decision for me, but now.... I'm tempted to go with the SEC on the basis of them being the SEC, but I can't disrespect ULM on this one. ULM 28-17

Presbyterian @ Vanderbilt: Hahahahaha! Vandy 31-10

Texas A&M @ SMU: The Aggies bounce back 28-17

Alabama @ Arkansas: Well, at least it isn't Louisiana-Monroe... Bama 41-21

Florida @ Tennessee: I actually have a little bit to say on this one (go figure, a Vol fan talking the Vols). Florida's defense looked good in the second half against the Aggies, but they still really couldn't muster much offense. Tennessee's defense is on par with Florida's statistically, and the Volunteer offense is amongst the nation's best. The only way Tennessee loses is if they get psyched out by Florida's win streak Florida @ Tennessee Again - YouTube. Tennessee 32-20

Miss St. @ Troy: Uhh, why is Mississippi State going to Troy? Bulldogs 35-7

Missouri @ Arizona St.: This game could have a big score. First team to forty wins! Mizzou 48-42

Western Kentucky @ Kentucky: Kentucky's offense carries their less than spectacular defense. Wildcats 27-10

UAB @ South Carolina: Could Marcus Lattimore break 200 yards rushing? Yes. Will he? Not once he's pulled at halftime. Gamecocks 35-0

Florida Atlantic @ Georgia: Georgia cruises. Dawgs 38-3

Idaho @ LSU: The backups might be in for the second quarter. Bayou Bengals 52-0

Texas @ Ole Miss: This one could be surprisingly good, but I'm going to guess that Ole Miss is really fool's gold. 'Horns 35-21

One last note: if any of you keep up with my blog or are interested in starting, I've moved to Spittin' Sports. I'm also producing videos still, but the production quality has dropped. I have dropped the scripts and I'm letting my own voice and personality come through, so check it out if you like what I do.

Really? Around the NCAA? This specifically talks about the game and relates to several future opponents of the Vols.

A higher % of that (decent) post was dedicated to Teams other than TN.

And who cares? Let people read it, enjoy it, discuss it. Don't add negative connotation by then worrying about where it was (appropriately) placed.

ULM @ Auburn - As bad as Auburn has looked, ULM's never made a bowl game and was extremely lucky last week. Auburn 34-10.

Presbyterian @ Vandy - Vandy will be on the board after beating the mighty Blue Hose. Vandy 45-7.

Texas A&M @ SMU - Closer than most would expect. A&M 31-24.

Alabama @ Arkansas - Something a lot of people don't realize: Arky beating Bama after losing to ULM would be the most John L Smith thing to ever occur. I can't just go out and pick Arkansas, though. Bama 38-21.

Florida @ Tennessee - Screw 'em. UT 27-21.

Mississippi State @ Troy - Sorry Billy, but real SEC teams don't play road games at Sun Belt schools. MSU 31-10.

Arizona State @ Mizzou - If this game was at ASU I'd be interested in picking them. It's not. Mizzou 37-27.

WKU @ Kentucky - Kentucky's on upset alert, but I don't know if I can make myself take WKU. UK 20-13.

UAB @ South Carolina - Ew. South Carolina 41-3.

FAU @ Georgia - I miss Schnellenberger. Georgia 49-3.

Idaho @ LSU - GO VANDALS! LSU 52-7.

Texas @ Ole Miss - People aren't really buying into Ole Miss, right? This is stupid. Texas 34-14.

I expect AU to win, but what game did you watch that makes you believe that the barners are capable of scoring 34 points?

Really? You thought this belonged in the UT football forum?

Not sure we even needed to hear predictions for the crop of games this weekend. UT vs. UF is the only watchable game.

Bama Arkansas could have been good, except with all the drama, I think Arkansas bows out early.

ULM over Auburn? Auburn is bad, but that's a bold pick, IMO.

Defensive TD or something, I don't know. And they allowed 34 to the spectacularly anemic Auburn offense of 2008.

Well, you're on a Vol message board and from what I read it appeared to be picks involving SEC teams. All 14 were accounted for.

My irritation stemmed from the fact that my prior picks and SEC focused material has always been left on the football forum, and I supposed I had a knee-jerk reaction. As for the questions about my pick of ULM, I've was very impressed with the play of the Warhawk quarterback, and I've been very underwhelmed with the play of the Auburn secondary.

Louisiana-Monroe @ Auburn: Barn - fairly close

Presbyterian @ Vanderbilt: Vandy - boring and 1 sided

Texas A&M @ SMU: Ags - Not boring, but 1 sided

Alabama @ Arkansas: Bama - Massacre

Florida @ Tennessee: Vols - great game for the home crowd

Miss St. @ Troy: MissLite - slow game

Missouri @ Arizona St.: Zou - Close and very fun to watch

Western Kentucky @ Kentucky: *WKU - Back and forth

UAB @ South Carolina: SCAR - Ugly 1 sided win

Florida Atlantic @ Georgia: UGA - Same as above

Idaho @ LSU: LSU - Same as above

Texas @ Ole Miss: Rebs - Extremely close game.

*Kentucky screws up the week-sweep.
Must see tv in order of importance:
1. Vols host Florida with Gameday and an electric atmosphere.

2. Mizzou in the sand against a wildcard Pac10 team.

3. texas in Oxford against a motivated, less talented Reb team.

Weekly Upset pick:
Troy over MissLite
