No doubt that ESPN and other media outlets will have Clemson and Ohio St as the top 2 and Bama probably 3rd. I don’t think things will end up with those teams 1-3 but that's where they’ll start.

Would be interesting to play this as a fantasy game. Pick the final top 10 prior to the start of the season, compare with the final rankings, #1 being right is worth 10 points, #2 worth 9, and so forth.

They have the 2 best QBs in the country coming back , they both made the playoffs and they both have great recruiting classes. Clemson plays no one and Ohio State is still the class of the B1G. I don’t see how they won’t make the CFP next year. I hope they don’t because i cannot stand either one, but on paper they look really good.

Bama is more of a mystery to me though .

Georgia is a question mark for me. Their defense is going to be very good, suspect on offense. They lost 9 out of 11 starters as we know.

I like the effort, looks good...But one question...Why isn't Notre Dame in your top 30?

Be interesting to see what happens to LSU next season without Joe Burrow. They might still be alright so long as Joe Brady is one staff, but I imagine he's going to get poached at some point.

texas is always in the top 10 at the beginning of the season and not in the top 25 at the end of the season despite playing in a crap conference.

This past season was the first time since 2010 they were a preseason top 10 team.

Does Oklahoma have a QB? Their conference is pretty weak but they have a lot of question marks.

They have Rattler and Riley has been pretty decent despite starting new QB’s every year. Like every other team we won’t know anything until we see them.

So now it looks like only the SEC will have multiple teams to consider for the playoff at the start of any given year year. tell me if I'm missing something.
ACC=Clemson
Big TEN=Ohio State
Big 12= Oklahoma
PAC TEN= ?

We have three 4 star or better QBs on the roster this coming year: Spencer Rattler (5 star), Tanner Mordecai (4 star) and Chandler Morris (4 star). Rattler has been there a year, Mordecai for two years and Morris (son of Coach Chad Morris) is incoming this season.

There are some question marks as the Sooners have typically had a QB in the system that was a freak of nature (Mayfield and Murray) who played at another level, but also, in my opinion, got coached to that level. The big question mark is now whether or not Lincoln Riley can develop a QB from the "ground up" into a Heisman candidate. I honestly think he can and any of the starters (probably Rattler or Mordecai) have a good supporting cast of receivers ready to elevate their game. Hurts was huge offensively, but I'm not afraid to admit he had serious shortcomings in his deep threat. He was great at scrambling when things fell apart, but he was not a great downfield passer.

I wouldn't get too wrapped up in the QB situation at OU as we have some stallions on that side of the equation as well as a proven coach who tends to get the most from them.

Top 10 from a Big 12 perspective that the sports writers will probably rank:

1. Ohio State (the press loves them some Ohio State)
2. Alabama (they love them some Bama)
3. Clemson (question on who succeeds Trevor L)
4. Penn State (program should be banned)
5. Oklahoma (we do have significant offensive production returning)
6. Georgia (they love them some SEC and this is "THE YEAR!" for Georgia)
7. LSU (they probably think this year was a fluke, but have to rate them in the top 10)
8. Notre Dame (they love to rate them way higher than needed)
9. Texas (just like Georgia this is "THE YEAR!" for Texas)
10. Oregon (always an underdog, but questions at QB)

Additional top 25 teams in no particular order: Auburn, Michigan, Washington, Iowa, Wisconsin, Florida, Texas A&M, Florida State, Air Force (token G5 rep), Stanford, Arizona (or State), Baylor, Virginia, Nebraska (watch for it) and Minnesota.

I doubt Tennessee sneaks in since it appears (from what I've read on here) the sports writers think you suck and hate you.

Call me a homer, but not having UF in the top 10 is stupid, my friend.
