I have been asked by the admin to lay off of Sarge. In Sarge's opinion, Randy is a complete dumb--- and isn't worthy of coaching at UT. His opinions concerning Randy are posted on here daily. In my opinion, Sarge isn't worthy of talking about anything that resembles playcalling. My opinions are apparently not welcome on this board. I am an offensive coordinator. When you do something for a living (not just football, but anything) you pick up on things that most people don't simply because you do it day in and day out. Sarge can spout all of the bs stats he wants...just remember what Mark Twain said..."There are three kinds of liars. Liars, damn liars and statistics." This is one of the most successful coaching staffs in the country over the long haul and everyone, Sarge included, should bow down and thank God that UT has them. If, however, I have hurt Sarge's little feelings...I sent my humblest apologies. It's ok for him to make a hobby out of disparaging Randy, but I can't return the favor. Apparently, he can dish but can't take it. I think we should all remember who's more important to UT football...Randy or Sarge.

HAHA, everyone remember over the summer when we got in a big randy sanders arguement over the summer and donsarge got so mad he decided that he wouldnt come back.

just to let you know here are somethings donsarge was saying before he left:

Tiger woods would never return to his self and his masters championship this year was a fluke

Pat summit should have never had the floor named after her cause she was a girl.

and that randy sanders sucks and should take no credit in anything our offense does.

Sarge is a big boy he can take it but he is not the only one to call for RS's head, fortunately for UT football these guys don't get to make that call.

Mikey, I think you have your facts confused. You are welcome to your opinion, and I know many here that disagree with Sarge (myself included). My only point to you was that everyone doesn't want to read 15 different posts in the Volboard where you are just calling him out. I did not remove your posts or tell you that your opinions are not valued. It was simply a respectful request.

Calling other posters names if prohibited by board rules, and I am sure you understand that one.

For what it's worth Sarge did not complain I was just asking that you argue your points and not attack the poster.

If you have any questions or further concerns you are welcome to PM me.

at least he isnt a troll.

and i have my doubts about r.s. too.

I agree with your post 100%. I go out of my way to avoid responding Sarge's posts. His posts are not made from a background relative to knowlegeably commenting on football. Rather, he posts from a deep hatred and spite of Fulmer and everyone Fulmer surrounds himself with.

Sarge has stated here before that Johnny Majors is his friend. I am sure most VolNation members know what Majors has said and done to UT football the past couple of years. I was a huge fan of Majors myself for decades. In fact, his parents lived next door to my uncle and aunt in Sewanee in the 60s, 70s and 80s. After watching Johnny flounder around the airwaves dissing my school and my team, sucking up the likes of Paul Finebaum, Majors is off my radar. Majors has seemingly established himself as the Otis of Pittsburgh.

With that said, I appreciate your post above and concur with your message.

I think everyone so far on this thread has made some very valid points. But we have to ask ourselves can't we disagree without making it personal? I think its become fashonable lately to attack the person and not so much their opinion. I have set back in my chair and thought...''sarge you surely cant mean you actually believe the stuff your typing'' . hes old school and we all know old school middle class males are hardheaded and set in their opinions. but i know folks have all at 1 time or another thought the same at some of my posts...and I yours, theres very few posters I see in here who their every post is a slice of brilliance pie. I know Im not a great example of a mature calm and knowledgable poster but can we try and be a little less belligerent on our own? :twocents:

dan4vols that is my point exactly: attack the post not the poster. It's been getting way too personal around here and that is what is against board rules.

:hi:
