I hate starting threads because it's usually no win with the little snipers sitting out there waiting to rip at you.
But anyway, here goes: if I were Mr. Currie, I would at this point, after the un-thought-out debacle with Coach Schiano, go straight to Lane Kiffin as fast as possible. You will have 50% who hate you and 50% who think you just saved the world. That's a whole lot better than right now.
I'd make sure he had early exit, APR, and recruiting violation penalties listed in his contract as payback items.
If that simply cannot work, I'd offer Phil Fulmer $3 million a year with a four year contract, providing he can get Tee Martin in as OC and head coach in training at about $2 million for now. Then tell him to get the Chief back as DC.
Tee could recruit the heck out of the Southeast because players know he's the next guy up.
Heck, he might be able to get his boy to transfer.
