1. Fulky.
2. Now, I need a list of people on this board who have spent 4 years saying that John Fulkerson would never be more than a minor role player on this team. C'mon all you basketball geniuses, speak up... Seriously, I was beginning to wonder if my original prognostication was a bit on the high side, but he is finally taking the lead role on this team. It is time that someone did.
3. Defense was obviously really good for a long time. Long enough, I guess. Hopefully, we can continue the trend for another week or two (or three?).
3. I don't know if this freshman filled team has many more big victories in them, but today was a big win if for no other reason than it was against the swamp critters. Another reason might be that we had a recruit or two watching.
4. Nice to see JJJ step up today. He can sure fill a stat sheet when playing good. Hopefully, much more to come next year.
5. It was scary to watch Fulkerson (yeah, him again) miss two front ends of one and ones, but he more than made up for it.
6. I saw one of the coaches mention it this week, and I had been thinking the same thing: It is interesting to compare this team to Coach Barnes' second team. A bunch of Freshmen who help win some big games, but just let enough games slip away to make it come up just a bit short in the win column.
7. Looking ahead, we get Fulky, Pons, JJJ, Vescovi, Gaines, and maybe Johnson back next year, along with the new Freshmen, and I think this team can make some real noise. I have really high hopes that Gaines, with his length and athleticism, can make a big jump next year (and every year he is here).
8. Bonus question: Who has the highest 3 point percentage in the nation today?
