My 360 just got the 3 red lights of doom

It is great to know if my 360 dies microsoft will take care of it, but how easy is it? Do they ask a lot of questions or does it matter when it was bought or anything?

they just asked me a couple of questions and stuff to do it, but I had already done all of it so I just answered their questions. then they'll give you instructions on how to send your console and what not. it's not bad at all. the worst part is waiting on a support tech. I called during the day on Saturday and waited for a little over 1 hour but then I had to be somewhere so I had to hang up. then I called back at midnight and I only waited maybe 10 mins at the most. I would suggest calling late at night because more of their lines are open

I just sent my xbox off today but I didn't put my address the paper inside the box. I just put my name and the confirmation number in there. Anybody know if that would be a problem?

FYI, if you are within 1 year from your purchase date, you can take ANY broken Xbox 360 back to where you bought and they HAVE to give you an immediate replacement given you have all your components... I've done it twice, its part of the first extended warranty to 1 year.

I wish I knew that before I sent mine off :banghead2:

I got mine at the end of May last year, if something went wrong, I have a 3 year warranty. Is this correct?

EVERY SINGLE Xbox 360 has a 3 year warranty from its original purchase date... Lesser known fact is, every 360 is also IN STORE replacable during the 1st year.
