Sounds like he just wanted to be shown a little love.

Volleader might want to recheck his secret sources. Looks like we are gonna sign McElroy on the other hand, so i will give him a 50% rating on reliability.

I have a sneaking suspicion that we might not hear from Volleader again.

that is what i thought. saw the rumors alittle while ago. tennessee getting no breaks at all this recruiting season. i would have to say the bad season and terrible offense is killing us this year.

Don't start with that again smoke. You should just put it in your sig and be done with it. :mf_surrender:

Did some of yall forget we had the number 1 class last year!!! So if we finish in the top 20 to 25 we will be fine!

just glad all this mess is over. i have never seen so much being made of one kid. last i checked it took a few more players to field a team. What makes me even sicker is knowing what is coming next year with clausen. we have to good quarterbacks now and they will do just fine. looking forward to our guys kicking some butt next year, and things getting back to where they should be.

It's not that some forget the good stuff, like last years class, it's just that they choose to drag the program down with negative talk. Makes you wonder if they are true vol fans or elephants in disguise. :twocents:

Is this the last stunt? Im like most everyone else T/G its all over...But why does his mother come across as odd in her dealings with the kids decision? Who's momma really for. Mitch , Nutt or the new hire that hangs right next to him? :whistling:

Sorry im out of line with that....Im just paranoid since it almost worked for Buma. :nener:

I said I was going to try and go positive with the new year and I want to stay upbeat but this is a real blow. NOT ONE PERSON can guarantee that Ainge will be any better this year that last and we do not know if Crompton will be anything near his past potential when he starts throwing. I guess we still have a shot at Nick Stephens from Texas, otherwise expect no improvement at the QB spot in '06 because you may not see any.

Also, I wonder how many other undecided's will not choose us becasue Mitch is not coming here?? Just don't kid youselves. This is how the slippery slope begins. Bad season = bad recruiting class = more bad seasons down the road = more bad recruiting classes = 10+ years playing for 3rd palce in the SEC East.

I just got bashed for saying UT Qb development basically blows in another thread. You have some very good points and maybe they will take it from a Vol fan.

Thanks for the optimism.

As for expecting no improvement at QB next year, you are probably right. Look at Cut's track record. . . .a bunch of nobodys who failed to succeed at any level. Why, he even cost the Colts a playoff win this year. If we could JUST find a guy capable of teaching the QB position. . . .and one that insisted on a little discipline. . . .

Nice to see you two getting along. We all figured Hillbilly to be a Bammer in disguise.

Cutcliff a poor QB developer? Call me when Ming makes his first $100 million.

Cutcliffe can no more make a silk purse from a sow's ear than you or I. When he "developed" Peyton, Eli, and Heath they were all highly touted AND healthy. Right now we have a basket case and a guy who may not be able to thro harder than my grandma. I admit that I have given up on Ainge and I think anyone who seriously supports him at this point is not interested in winning. I HOPE Crompton is heallthy and develops quickly with Cut's help but I think it prudent to have another stud in the stable right now.

Dude you need to quit watching CNN. It is obviously affecting your positive outlook on things. Just because Mustain is not coming to UT doesn't mean the program is going to hell for the next decade. We do have two really good quarterbacks here now and things WILL be fine. It takes more than just a damn quarterback to win football games. Everyone else must execute as well, and the guys didn't do that this year. It was a wakeup season for everyone and things will get back on track next year. GO VOLS!!

Mitch was an outside chance anyhow. Anyone who cast all of their hopes for next year on one lone QB recruit next year was just plain wrong. You can also bet Fulmer and Cut were also not putting all of their eggs into one basket. Mitch has decided to stay home and become a Pig Roast for the next couple years, so what! The Vols will do well this coming season. Cut has a history of good coaching. He has been taking decent QB's and turning them into great college QB's. See ya Mitch, wouldn't wanna be ya. Hello Ainge, Crompton and the next new great QB that will come along.

Thank the Lord, I'm so glad he made a decision. He'll regret it though, when his best season after 4 years at Arkansas is 6-5 and he leaves school to become a PHYSed teacher /ball coach in some 2 a high school his mom can retire in her streamline trailer hopefully with direct tv.

I agree and his mother will be very disappointed as well.
