Wait, out of curiosity, what is then? It seems to really be getting the lion's share of tourism in the state the last 5-10 years; it's among the most visited cities in the eastern United States.

Or are you referring to #1 tourist destination in a sense of a rating system rather than the amount of traveling visitors/tourists/guests it receives across the year?

Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge are more popular and appealing destinations.
