I have no real emotion with it either way. But what is ironic to me is that we have a segment of our fans who are bent out of shape about taking away "Lady" so as to represent "One Tennessee" when the world is becoming so PC about making everyone inclusive and on equal ground.

I am not trying to make an argument for or against, but it just seems like there are people who are never happy about things. Someone is always going to get upset. That's life- let's move on.

Maybe when Hart met with her and had to make a decision he was privy to more than us? I'm not sure a doctor would have used the SEC Tournament as part of his diagnosis.

Butch, are you an alumnus?

Shouldn't it be the women and athletes who wear the name who decide whether the feel excluded or not? What is so ironical is that years ago this was all about empowering women-not anymore.

I am guessing that if you let all women athletes vote on it, you would get mixed results and differing opinions. Empowering women is treating them as equals- that wasn't the case years ago in many things. Again, it is just an observation and ironic to me.

I think most fans would be willing to accept whatever the Lady Vols decide. Not Dave Hart.

Really, I keep saying not Dave Hart. This is not just Dave Hart. He is just the front man.

Guys, count me in as a fan of the Lady Vols, and I love the name Lady Vols for all women's sports. It makes no sense to do away with the name.

What do we profit by doing away with the name Lady Vol?

Outstanding game by our Lady Vol softball team. Great pitching, stellar defense and timely hitting. Really a fun game to watch! Also,I know it's not July 1st,but wasn't the crowd chanting "Go Lady Vols" ? I heard not one single "Go Vols" .Guess some on here were yelling that at their TV,though.
