'26 MS WR Tristen Keys (Tennessee commit)

I don't understand how someone turns into a great recruiter. Feel like it's a trait that you either have or you don't. Kind of like leadership.

I imagine with the revenue sharing, the classes will ebb and flow based on where the money needs to go.
Just like any other job, there should be growth. You learn how to do it well.

But I am also guessing that there signs very early (even as an analyst) that he had recruiting talent. He's barely missed on other big ones.

Definitely not. It’s about building relationships with players, handlers, agents, high school coaches over time. It’s about consistency of communication. It’s about story telling. It’s about selling your product. It’s about figuring out who the influencers are in the situation and winning them over. It’s about figuring out who the detractors are and muting them. There are a lot of things beyond just charisma that go into being a great recruiter.
