From Rivals:

Tennessee and Alabama have surged to the top for the 2027 four-star running back from Brandon, Miss., and he was just at Florida State as well but Ole Miss is now right in the mix as well.

Robinson admittedly wasn’t feeling the Rebels early in his recruitment but after spending time with coach Lane Kiffin and position coach Kevin Smith, Ole Miss is right back in this thing.

Tyson Robinson is an elite running back in the 2027 class and schools like Mississippi State and Tennessee are stong contenders early.

A few schools have emerged as early favorites. The No. 40 prospect in the 2027 Rivals Industry Ranking isn’t ready to narrow things down just yet, but a few programs have clearly separated themselves.

One is still Tennessee.

“I like them a lot,” he said of the Vols. “I’ve been there six or seven times. The coaching staff is great and I can see myself in that offense. I feel I can fit in the area too. Tennessee has always been up there for me.”

Can't rembember the last time we were positioned this well in RB recruiting.

We are almost certainly getting one of Hiter, Georges and Robinson and it's very realistic we get two of three. De'rail Sims has taken recruiting to another level.

There was a FU TD in a game which pissed Simpson off. I doubt he’s petty enough to still be pissy about that but idk.

Also I believe westview just hired a new football coach recently but I do think he coached there in the past as well.

Westviews QB is Simpson the UTM coaches other son who is a stud QB also and yes Simpson was mad Heup scored a late TD on them and had some words. Also never underestimate the petty of glorified PE teachers that coach football. Oldest Simpson never really gave us the time of day and a lot of that was because of Heup and his dad.

Yeah he didn’t give Heupel a chance, but Ty was going to Bama at that point regardless. Yes there was some sore feelings on the FU TD at Knoxville but I still doubt there’s resentment at this point. I doubt seriously this has any effect on recruiting any other westview player. I also doubt very seriously it will effect where Graham Simpson lands although it may not be Tennessee.
