Moving away to the Midwest

So I’m moving to Lincoln Nebraska for work and although I’ve heard they have a great game day atmosphere I was wondering if any fellow Vols are in the area and do they have any watch parties... you know cause we will have a season in the SEC!

As always GBO!
Good luck in Nebraska. I moved to Maui two days ago so I’m curious about the same thing here? I can’t be the only Vol fan on this site that lives here.

Good luck. Omaha is almost tolerable. I'm sure it will work out well. Lincoln is nearby, I believe. Go ahead and get CWS tix for UT's upcoming visit.

winter should be an adventure there....I drove across Nebraska on the way to Idaho the first week of January a couple of years ago...that was where I started questioning my sanity for taking that job...driving in white out snow conditions is not for the faint of heart

I've lived in MO for the last 20 years. Nebraska is a little cooler but Midwestern people are about as friendly and neighborly as southern people... without being as fake.

Don't let the weather scare you. The winter is mostly dry.... but cold.

I live in Fort Collins Colorado, but I have a business in western Nebraska. I’ll tell you one thing about Cornhusker fans, having spent a lot of time there over the past 18 years...they still wallow in the 1997 Orange Bowl. They can’t let it go. 🙄

Do yourself a favor, once you get out there and settled, grab your camping gear and head out to Lake McConaughy. It’s a white sandy beach with a huge lake in western Nebraska. You’ll be glad you did.

Yeah I’m married to gal from Whymore NE(a town of 1k people) and her parents not all that great off so we both had a chance to move our jobs is the reason for the lincoln move.. as for cold I grew up in Chicago and northwest Indiana for 17 years so the cold doesn’t bother me! The people are nice from the smaller towns I imagine lincoln would be the same even though most hate my 2016 music city hat and my yeah but you had to share that title with Michigan from 97! But I appreciate all the comments and advice and I’ll take anymore and anytime anyone happens for some odd reason to be traveling through just come on down and of course I guess I’ll see a lot of you in 2026 when volnation heads to lincoln and our orange shines brighter than that sea of red! God bless everyone’s response

I'm in Wyoming for the next couple years. We're a couple hours away but probably will be making a trip for a neb game. A watch party at devils tower or something could be pretty fun.

What part of Wyoming? We now live in Billings, Montana, but haven’t had the opportunity yet to host any fellow Tennessee fans on game day. There are at least two other members of Vol Nation that live in Montana.

I swear I read this as ha ha u sucker. Your headed to a damn corn field in the middle of nowhere and I am living in paradise like Thomas magnum.

Lol...that was not my intent at all but when I reread it I kinda cringed too. He probably has it better than me as I’m currently in a 14 day mandatory quarantine with the State government checking on me.
