The VOLS are now rated as the #22 recruiting class by ESPN after the Santos signing...hopefully we have a ton more of guys like him and don't miss out on any more Humphries type players and can move in the top ten when it is said and done.

I always tell myself not to obsess over recruiting too much in preseason, but it's hard not to when we're recruiting this well.

Santos has me very excited.

Dooley will land a top 10 class this year and a top 5 next year. Please save this and berate me if it doesn't happen, but it will.....

Can anyone explain how we out-recruited Oklahoma for Santos?

We didn't. It was Texas AM. Funny how we start using ESPNs numbers to justify this class. Just a thought, nothing more.

Santos wanted to play in the SEC. Instead of chasing ball catchers around,,,he wants to knock the piss out of running backs - or whomever gets in his way. He found a home at UT,,and wants to impress 100,000 fans. My guess is that he will not disappoint anybody. The kid can flat out play linebacker. Not that stars mean much,,but after his senior season at Van,,he will most assuredly be ranked a four,,,and possibly a fifth.

My question: will a top ten class behind three or four SEC schools get us there?

Answer: probably not.... but it's a start
