As a fan, has this been the most painful season you have had to endure? Mine is still Fulmer's last year. Of course, this debacle is not over yet.

Last year was worse, we lost to Kentucky. 2005 is still worse because we lost to Vandy.

So right now, it's 3rd.

Yeah...the outcome of Fulmers last season was painful. VolNation is still feeling the pain of Fulmer/Chavis loss.

I was around for the 1977 team and I can assure you they would beat the brakes off this team. This is the worst I have seen it.

The worst? Barely losing to three top 15 teams and having Florida on ropes before choking does not equal worst. Disappointing, yes, but this is nowhere close to the worst.

This is bad. To have 4 top 15 teams in the ropes then piss away opportunities is hard for me to stomach. Just when I think we'll pull one out, we snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

For me it is. I quit smoking the week before Florida. UT football plus that has made me almost intolerable to be around. It would probably be easier if we weren't choking all the games away at the end. If we lose again this season I'm going to get some Newports.

What team do you think is worse? They can barely line up on defense. They're 0-5 in the SEC for the third year in a row.

So the SEC must just suck this year, right?

No the SEC doesn't suck this year and it won't suck in the foreseeable future. If you're waiting on the competition to start playing down to our level you're gonna be waiting awhile.

Not the point. We had 4 top 15 teams on the ropes, and we failed. If that is UT's worst then you became a fan this year. At the end of the day what does it matter who the shiniest turd is?

3 Heart breaking close losses, but I'd rather have them than to be blown out every game like last year.

I attended my first game in 1976. Looking back, I can't think of one team that was worse than this one. The 77 team was really bad, the 88 team was bad but turned it around. I can't see this team beating either of those. Last years team is this team with a better defense.

Thank you for telling us you didn't watch last year's team. Did you see our offense last year? You cannot be this dumb.

Good point. There is a very good chance we lose another one before the year is out.

I think it's the worst due to the hope that most fans had when we were 2-0 going into the FL game with ESPN Gameday and all the hype. There is obviously talent on this team , however, Dooley is not a winner and never has been. Some people have it and some don't. Dooley doesn't have "it". He may have some of the worst luck ever, however, you make your own luck and he does not know how to do this. Luck is when preparation meets opportunity and Dooley obviously isn't well prepared because we have had several opportunities.

Don't really see the need for the insults. The offense this year is a little better and the defense is a lot worse. The reason the offense is marginally better is because we've suffered less injuries. It's not from improvement.
