Ok, we had lots of fun with the "First UT game you've attended" thread, now let's add to the memories.

Someone suggested a most memorable UT game thread, so, here we go!

I've been to lots of great ones. 2006 Cal, 2006 UF, 2007South Carolina, 2007 Vandy, all when I was a student.

But the best BY FAR had to be 2004 versus UF. When we got the TD that made it 27-28, the student section was going crazy. No one was even paying attention during the PAT when Wilhoit choked. I think I was the only one watching the try, and I yelled without even thinking, "HE MISSED IT!" Everyone around me then stopped celebrating, and looked at the scoreboard to see it was still 27-28, and it got completely silent. It was like a punch in the gut.

Later, when Wilhoit kicked the winning 50 yard FG, it was classic. Right after the kick, before we even knew it was good, my friend screamed, "Holy S---!" And it was just complete chaos once the ref raised his arms. I was jumping up and down, and missed the bleacher on like the 3rd jump, and landed on the guy standing in front of me. It caused a domino effect about 10 rows down.

What an unbelievable game. Instant classic. One of the most memorable experiences of my college days!:)

Beating UF in 1998! Ran on the field going ape! It was the best.

Best game I watched on TV, 2001 beating Florida. Ran in the house going ape! It was the best.

Number 1 - The 1992 Florida game in the rain. I will never forget the Mose Phillips run.

Number 2 - The 1998 Florida game. I sat in Section H Row 1. The missed FG by Florida went right over our heads. I think my friends and I were on the field before the ref finished the no good signal.

Number 3 - The Alabama rout in 1995 in Legion Field. Open the game with an 80 yard TD. Ended the eight year run by the Tide. I remember singing Rocky Top well into the night at a Bar called Louie Louie's in Birmingham.

Like I have already said, UT-UCLA, Memphis, 1965. Not only the greatest UT game I have ever seen but the best football game. UCLA was coached by Tommy Prothro, a Memphis native. They had Gary Beban at QB, next year's Heisman winner. They also had Mel Farr, a very good RB who went on to a good NFL career. The back and forth game ended with an interception by UT and as the ball was being returned down the UCLA sideline, someone on the sideline came out to make the tackle. There were heroics by Dewey Warren, Johnny Mills, Austin Denney, Paul Neumauf, Frank Emanuel and many others. After the game, which we won, Tommy Prothro said he was ashamed to be from Tennessee. I was ashamed he was too. My next favorite UT game was the same group of guys at the 1966 Gator Bowl against Syracuse. We won 18-12 against the likes of Floyd Little and Larry Csonka.

Awesome. When Hardesty busted out for the TD score, I went nuts.

hard to say. but if i had to go with one it would probably be '04 florida. the goat to hero kick by wilhoit was absolutely crazy. i, along with many others, had alot of fun mocking the chomp after time expired. a close second would be the 6 overtime game against arky in '02. i thought that game would never end.

1. 1982 vs. Alabama in Knoxville. 11 years of frustration lifted. The stadium went wild. The goal posts lasted about 30 seconds after that one and the students paraded around campus with what was left of them.

2. 1992 vs. Florida in Knoxville. The monsoon game. The Mose Phillips run was great. I loved it when he stopped in the end zone and pretended to look at his watch. It looked like Florida was going to dominate the game, and then the rains came and everything flipped upside down. Great game. The Florida fans were wet and humiliated.

06 Marhall- UT blew Marshall away, but it rained the whole day. The game was delayed for the longest time. It was the first time UT didnt run thru the T in years, I just remember putting the poncho hood over my head at half time and it was so full of water, and the little part of me that was dry wasnt anymore.

06 UGA- I sat down behind the georgia band. The crowd was the best ive seen in years. It was so hot, and everyone was sticking to each other. We just beat the hell outta georgia in every aspect of the game.

The Sugar Bowl was a great time, but not the best game. However, I enjoyed a Canes coed whining to her parents sitting behind us that the Miami section was dominated by TN fans. Buy your allotment next time, moron!
