In overcoming a 21-point deficit, this victory ties for the third-largest comeback win in program history. In reeling off 35 unanswered points vs. Florida in the span of just over 18:00 minutes of game clock (i.e. from the 10:49 mark in the 3rd quarter until the 8:27 mark of the 4th stanza), which extended Tennessee’s lead to 38-21, the Big Orange turned in the most dominating performance vs. Florida since the 1990 game, Spurrier’s first as the head member of the Reptilian Horde. In that matchup of top-ten teams, Tennessee led 7-3 at halftime. Dale Carter returned the opening kickoff of the 2nd half to unleash a third-quarter flood gate in which Tennessee scored 28 unanswered points and set the stage for an eventual 45-3 victory.

Congratulations to the Big Orange for a great comeback victory and the most dominating performance vs. Florida since 1990.

Congratulations also to the Big Orange faithful who created a monumental tsunami of support and momentum that our boys rode to victory.

Dominating 2nd half. We saw glimpses of it in the VT game but this was one of those curb stomp level performances

Exactly. And let's give some love to the back ups feeling in for the injured starters. Wow what a Team effort. The front 4 controlled the line.

I hope Butch can get our boys to play 4qtrs like they did in the 2nd half today. We can be a hard team to stop, if Butch and Deborg will learn to take the collar of Dobbs and the offense. Turn Dobbs lose and let him run. It wasnt hard to notice how Dobbs accuracy throwing the rock picked up, when they turned him loose with his running and taking charge of the offense.
