Nigel Warrior

Gaulden seems to have solidified that spot. But can he stay healthy? Evan Berry has tons of talent, buy is his heart on defense?

Nigel Warrior can come in and compete. Would not be surprised to see him in the 2 deep by September.

Carlin Fils-Aime is a nice weapon to have.

Don't get why Latrell Williams is being plugged in for immediate playing time. I think he can be a really good one but we have options for the slot ahead of him

No idea who it's gonna be.

Marquez North and Jason Carr were two of our highest rated, most prized recruits in 2013....neither did much of anything here, especially Carr.

Barnett has been arguably our best player from the 2014 class...I recall him being a bit of an afterthought in that class, nobody really saw that coming. He's been great and is currently projected to be the first Vol taken in next year's draft.

How about last year's class? Who wound up being most impressive and contributing the most? KMac was our top commit....but I think our two impressive freshmen wound up being 3 star Chance Hall and the 8th highest rated player in the class, DKJr.

We don't have that one signature player coming in this year. We have a lot of talented kids who won't be asked to do too much unless one or two of them just come in and blow up, and, as recent history has shown us, it's difficult to know its gonna be. All we can do right now is speculate. Ought to be fun.

I agree. It would seem that Byrd would be an option there, since they moved him to WR. Same for Callaway. I would guess that both would be ahead of Williams coming into camp. Time will tell.

Barnett did start to show out once he got into fall camp if I remember correctly. I remember him passing Hendrix, and I remember thinking that he was one to pay attention to since the coaches were mentioning his name so much.

I would throw Shy Tuttle in with Hall and DKjr as impressive freshman from last year. With Jack Jones and Preston Williams a level behind them.

I agree that we don't have a signature player coming in that seems poised to take over. Kongbo, would fit that bill the best. But we do have a lot of players that could carve out spots in the two-deep and push for very early playing time. I like your point about allowing the 2016 class time to develop. This is one of the final stages in completing a re-build. Having a very talented recruiting class that will have time to develop without having to be thrown into the fire right away.

The return of Tuttle.

Totally agree. His returning will have a big impact.

As for the freshmen, it could well be determined by an injury. An injury at a critical position could propel one of the freshmen into the spotlight. Hope it doesn't happen. No injuries, although that is almost an impossible dream.

But at this point in the pre-season, in May before fall camp had begun, no one had any idea that Barnett would play as well as he did and become the player he's become.

I don't think he will play this year but I think Osborne will end up being one of the best of this class.

Hes been impressing since being on campus.

Speedy physical guy with great instincts. He could push at nickel. Good returner candidate for the future as well
