Dirk having a fever and some sniffles is being compared to MJ's "flu game."

Let's take a closer look

Michael's stats
44 Minutes
13 of 27 shooting
38 Pts
7 Rebounds
5 Assists
3 Steals
1 Block

If not mistaken, he pretty much collapsed at the end of the game.


Dirk's Stats

39 Minutes
6 of 19 Shooting
21 Pts
11 Rebounds
1 Assist
0 Steals
0 Blocks

Had his press conference where he had some sniffles.


Are people just trying to reach to find anything that can remind them of MJ?

I agree it's nowhere near Michael's performance but leaning on Pippen at the close of the game could be 100% theatrics. You present it as if Dirk wasn't sick and MJ was on his deathbed.

Can't Dirk's game stand on its own? Dude was running 102*F, dehydrated as hell, still rocking a bad digit and came up huge in the fourth. It was great.

It wasn't Michael 2.0. It was great on its own.

At least it's only a one game comparison and it's because they were both sick.

It's nowhere near as bad as comparing James entire career to Jordan's entire career. Sick.

Why people compare things such as the two is beyond me, I guess it is a way of trying to elevate the performance or deny it's greatness?

Go re watch that game and see how he is acting during the game and timeouts and tell me if him leaning on Pippen was "theatrics".
