A few of note...

Fun match-ups...

Trumaine Johnson, DB for Montana, considered an NFL prospect, already on various mock draft boards for the first 4 rounds of the draft, listed as 6-2 at 204 and 4.5 speed.

Kavario Middleton, highly toured and touted TE recruit who transferred in from Washington, good size at 6-5, 250, but listed a bit slow around 4.8 speed.

Nate Montana, son of Joe Montana, not a highly sought after recruit, but decent enough and famous name to warrant attention.

Johnson against Rogers or Hunter is the one scouts will have the most interest in.

Haha thats a fail for Johnson if he's matched up on Da'rick seriously he will get the burn not strong enough to slow him off the line of scrimmage

In before the montana trolls plead their case that johnson will shut down rogers

It's funny how you guys feel that Montana couldn't possibly have a player that can hold a candle to anything on UT's roster. You feel this way even though the NFL feels they are good enough to play in their league.

I can only conclude one of two things from you guys and that is:

1. All the current Vols players are better than everyone on NFL rosters.

2. You are a bunch of idiots.

Number one makes absolutely no sense, thus voiding option number 2

He is a first round pick. He will be the best player on the field. He will keep our pipeline to the NFL open. He was offered by every college in the USA, but chose Montana. He is so good he can shut down Da'Rick while still on the sideline ........ I can hear it already.

I'm sure Montana has some strong points. That being said, it will be pretty concerning if they keep this competitive, let alone close.

Hunter & Rogers will have a field day....book it.

They may have a great day, that doesn't mean that there success will come when they were lined up vs Tru.

As good as he is he can't cover the entire field and 2 players at once. Only a corner that could play for the Vols would be good enough to do that.

And so the pop shots begin.

It's a team sport and I have no delusions that Montana will win.

I just take offense that people here feel that we have nobody on our team that could actually be considered top 10 in college football at that position.

You really need to look at NFL rosters and where they went to school. You'll be suprised at how many great players currently in the NFL and in the hall of Fame came from the FCS.

I'm aware. I understand why you would be offended. But you have to understand why UT fans aren't going to be intimidated by a team just because they have an NFL quality player.

The point isn't to intimidate it is to educate. I would think football fans would like to see/learn about a great player.

It is a match up the NFL scouts are interested in, but apparently not some of the fans on this board.

I've said repeatedly on this message board that I expect Montana will lose. I hardly call that trying to intimidate.

Actually I think 3 or 4 Vol posters started taking the shots before I did.

I'm just returning fire.

This is a VOL message board. Expect it to happen. Are you really this dense, or did you just stay at a holiday inn express last night?

Honestly, truly, and with the most sincere, a majority of fans do not care about fcs. The ones that do, pretty much just do it so you won't feel so bad. I mean clearly going to a vol board to talk about how positively average your team is means you have some sort of mental disorder. It's pure pitty.

Trumaine Johnson is by far their best player and is completely legit. Whoever he matches up with will have a long day. He will probably line up on Justin Hunter. Luckily, they don't another CB capable of keeping up with Da'Rick so he should have a huge day.

This isn't a call against one single person on here, but I'm just going to be honest: I really hope Montana fans aren't getting the wrong impression of our fan base because a small percentage of us are acting like complete imbeciles on a message board.
