Josh Heupel
-On kicking off Florida week: Great week ahead of us. Excited about the challenge. It's going to be a great environment. We've got to control our preparation.
-Was asked if there is a mental hurdle Tennessee needs to overcome to beat Florida: I don't believe in that. Each week, day, and season is different.
-Heupel said he was aware of how important the Florida game was within 30 seconds of taking the job. Said it's an important game for everybody, including the coaches and players.
-On Florida QB Anthony Richardson: He can throw the football. He's big, physical and imposing. You have to bottle him up because he can make you pay. That's going to be a critical part of the football game.
-On Vols LB Juwan Mitchell: I thought he played really well. He was dialed in. No real mental lapses and he communicated well.
-On Vols LT Gerald Mincey: He gets to go compete against guys he's familiar with. He's executing well and getting more comfortable with what we do.

- There's going to be people talking about the game. There's going to be predictions. But you have to go into this week as if it's another week.
-On the Florida rivalry: It means the world. This is why you come to schools like Tennessee. For rivalries like this one. Both teams are ranked and it's going to be a great matchup.
-The difference going into last year's Florida game compared to this year's game is that they have a better understanding of what Josh Heupel and Alex Golesh want to do offensively and situationally.
-As a competitor, you don't go into these games like, oh, it's Florida again. Or Alabama. Or Georgia. You don't try not to lose. You go in expecting to win.
Hendon Hooker
-We're going to approach this week as if it's any other week. We're going to gameplan and we're going to work hard.
-On his performance in last year's Florida game: I would give myself a D. I need to play as close to perfect as I can get. I judge my performance based off whether we win or not.
-I haven't played to my standard yet, but we've been winning and that's all I'm looking for.
-On Florida's defense: Very athletic up front. They play extremely hard and get to the football with bad intentions. They have seasoned guys at linebacker. The secondary is very aggressive. We've got to come to play.
-On Vols LT Gerald Mincey: He's been great for us and brings a lot of energy to the locker room. I'm excited for him to go against his former team and make a statement.
-On why he doesn't throw a lot of interceptions: The main focus for me is taking care of the team. And the ball is the team. That's always been my biggest emphasis.
-On Vols WR Squirrel White: Really, I was just hoping he wouldn't over-run my arm. He's an incredible athlete. But I have confidence in all of my receivers.
-On his pregame routine: I just go into meditation mode. Put my gospel playlist on and listen to some slow jams. I go through the locker room and dap everybody up.

-On sticking up for Hendon Hooker after the awkward hit he took on Dylan Sampson's second touchdown: We love Hendon and that's our quarterback. We're always going to stick up for him. That's that.
