Moe out for the year

Moe got rolled up on and Farooq was knee to knee contact. Not much a S&C coach can do to help those situations. Human tendons weren't made for the violence that happens in football.

Huge loss. Our oline will be in shambles the rest of the season not good for our freshman QB hopefully he can make it thru the season without getting killed and every team now knows our weakness that Texas exposed. Opposing defenses are going to attack and bring the heat on our oline and QB not going to be pretty sight to watch against Bama and LSU especially.
If the status of our o-line was so effected by the lose of one player (even if he was the best) then it was not that good to began with...

I hope FB gets a little more accurate throwing the ball and recognizing that he can dump the ball to his RB who has 8-10 yards of open field since the defense is just pinning it's ears back

If you include Chaz Coleman on the “lost for the year” list it is mind boggling how hard this roster has been hit. He was definitely a key piece of the defensive plan.
Forgot about him. Another reason that kid from Miami won't thrill Heupel.

It indeed was not very good to begin with, and losing Moe is not good . . . But his play as our best OLine guys says it all. If he is the best on that line - oof.

I guess the other Moe thread wasn’t sufficient?

Let’s start another thread every time a thought pops in our heads!

That injury report is nothing like Tennessee’s. They have one player, a backup RB, out for the season. Tennessee has 7 players out for the season, including 3 starters. How is that remotely similar?
Oop good point. Should have picked a better team for example.

However it’s still a non issue. Injuries happen. Indiana’s entire RB backfield is currently out. I’d say their boards are screaming about losing their S&C coach to us.

It’s really perspective. We are fine. Our S&C coach is one of the best in the business.

Nothing to do with S&C. Actually, I think the NIL might have more to do with these season enders than conditioning. We're a third of the way thru the schedule. If a player gets an injury that will keep him out for multiple weeks, why not shut it down to protect against further damage and either return next season or test the portal? He's got tape already.

He gets paid whether he plays or not. It's like being on injured reserve for the remainder of the season. He comes back too soon and reinjures himself or isn't fully recovered and his performance suffers and his future prospects get damaged....not to mention the blowback from an expectant fan base.

Yeah, I can understand that line of thinking. Bet his representatives are probably thinking similar thoughts.
I have no idea if that is the case for Moe - he seems like an all-in sort of guy who would go if he could. But we have (allegedly) seen that situation before.
