Moe out for the year

Doesn't it get old having to talk up the team? Not coming at you please, dont take it that way just saying in general for me I'm sick of "moral victories" and the "well we did what we could" mindset we are Tennessee not Kentucky and they may beat you. Its year 6 and with the NIL we supposedly pull in not having good depth is a concern in my opinion.
I will say this if we lose to Kentucky it’s time to get the hot seat warmed up

If UT loses to Kentucky at home . . . The seat won’t be warmed - it will be on fire. Getting drilled by Vandy at home last year paired with a home loss to Kentucky this year (which I don’t think will happen) = dead man walking.

Probably because the blame on Owings for injuries is unwarranted and silly.
Remember the narrative on Butches S&C guy (and Jones himself) the year that we had all those injuries? It never changes. There are still people blaming Fulmer for doing what Josh wouldn't this Saturday ... tried to throw a deep ball before the ½ ran out vs ND in 2004, Justin Tuck smashed Ainge and injured his shoulder and out for season. People literally blamed Fulmer for calling the play that the stadium would have boooed him for had he not called it.

Might as well embrace the insanity.

you saying this because he lost to the #1 team by 3 points is wild

It’s not just Kentucky. I said weeks ago that this season was filled with land mines for Heupel. Auburn/Golesh; @Arkansas; Kentucky, @SC, @Vandy.

With the injuries mounting, it’s hard to see going 5-0 in that group that normally people feel like we should “crush”. Two losses isn’t unimaginable.

Asinine. Kentucky is the only game that matters? Heupel isn't going anywhere in the foreseeable future, and Idk why we keep having this conversation. Please let the rest of us enjoy the season without trying to get rid of our coach. Address it after this season if you feel so inclined. This narrative is so old.

Good point. People are just looking for a scapegoat in a violent sport to cope with some really unfortunate luck this year with injuries. Indiana was a relatively healthy team the two years Owings was there.

What a complete idiot.

If only Bo Jackson had been in better shape (when injured he was possibly one of the most well conditioned humans ever) his hip wouldn't have been ripped apart, right?

Football is full of opportunities to get your legs rolled up on, like Moe, or a shoulder dislocated or a hundred different injuries on every hit.

I'll bet you've never hit anything but the hay.

Tough news about Moe. Wishing him a speedy and full recovery. We're sure going to miss you.

Something I've been thinking about is whether we should move Perry back to guard and start one of the freshmen, Osenda or Blair. Coach them up and give them TE blocking support. Not sure strength wise they're ready for SEC DL players. They are both very talented. I just don't see Ory Williams or Haslam being the solution. Haslem is physical but he makes too many mistakes. Williams is just not that good. Picking him up was a mistake at this point.

Come on now. Arkansas, Candy, and SC are gonna be 21+ point wins. Auburn 10+ (their Oline is worse than ours). Kentucky is riding that A&M victory, but A&M isn't who we thought they were. Both Auburn and Kentucky are at home. 4-1 means something went extraordinarily wrong. We're going 5-0 in those games. Have faith in our Vols!

Nothing unusual. Injuries happen everywhere and nobody has quality depth. Isn’t that what we are supposed to believe?

yeah, but .......
compare our injury report to Auburn's. Very depressing.
They have two names on their's, we have something like 10 or 12

This has got to be the most injuries we’ve had in years. It’s only game 5 and we’ve been saying “next man up” a LOT.

I skipped ahead. Why are we talking about Kentucky the week of the Auburn game?

How is it stupid? Look at what Florida’s new S&C coach has done with their team so far in comparison to ours. Our guys are literally dropping like flies are they made of glass? It doesn’t look like the strength coach is doing a great job so far and i don’t give two ****s what some of you dumb fools on here think
Florida’s current injury report isn’t much different than ours. I’m actually only responding to show you two things. One that you are wrong. Two I am also much more intelligent than you because when I do troll I am much better at it than you.

So if the availability list another person posted is correct - that Volder said was a crazy number of TN injured - we have 1 more than FL.

The only thing he got correct is that injury prevention is a core component of strength and conditioning.

Perhaps we’re playing a higher percentage of younger guys that simply haven’t matured, physically, and strength and conditioning can only do so much in that regard. I really don’t know.

Edit: from what I see Florida does have one player out for the season, and it looks as though Tennessee has seven or eight out.

That injury report is nothing like Tennessee’s. They have one player, a backup RB, out for the season. Tennessee has 7 players out for the season, including 3 starters. How is that remotely similar?

Nothing to do with S&C. Actually, I think the NIL might have more to do with these season enders than conditioning. We're a third of the way thru the schedule. If a player gets an injury that will keep him out for multiple weeks, why not shut it down to protect against further damage and either return next season or test the portal? He's got tape already.

He gets paid whether he plays or not. It's like being on injured reserve for the remainder of the season. He comes back too soon and reinjures himself or isn't fully recovered and his performance suffers and his future prospects get damaged....not to mention the blowback from an expectant fan base.

Yeah, I can understand that line of thinking. Bet his representatives are probably thinking similar thoughts.

And apparently, you do not understand biomechanics and believe that there is a magical process by which ligaments and tendons can be guaranteed not to tear under extreme loads.

You do have advanced knowledge of trolling, however.
