I agree he's got a lot to lose, if people get a bad impression about him. He's just a young man that made a bad decision . We've all be there nothing to see move on.

Agree ! You would never see any other school site (private or public)(pay or free site) play into the defamation of their program. Gotta be a "homer" on this one and help the story die. Yes I replied in the thread allowing it to continue ! But WITHOUT a BIG Pic on the HOME PAGE !!!

never even look at the home page... my link brings me directly into the football forum.

BUT, I would agree with removing it... its not even news if you ask me

so what? college kids were at a party drinking.. big surprise there!!!

Did much worse then that when I was in college.. been arrested for much worse then that. But the papers and websites never reported or posted my picture.

Racist IMO...

I was going to make this thread, but I thought it would go the total opposite way it is going now. My fingers were freezing too.

I agree .

That 21 to drink rule is so arcane and absurd. It's just like the prohibition laws during Al Capone's day.

Stupid. Totally absurd to consider an 18yr old MATURE enough to serve in the Armed Forces but not enough to drink a beer? I'm way over the legal drinking age, so I got no skin in this game. Just always thought it was one of the most ridiculous laws this country has ever passed.

Laws are passed for our own good because most people are too ignorant to know any better.

Drinking beer was only part of the problem, ignoring the lawful commands of the police was the other, and that's why he went to jail.

Point being, we can have another picture and a link about the story without having a picture of AJ up there. We're not doing him any favors and considering the circumstances, I think he deserves a mulligan here.

not disagreeing with the OP, however this is already national news and being reported on many major sports news outlets around the country, including ESPN and NFL news. A Google search shows 1,000's of pages now. My momma always said nothing good happens after midnight.

As a UT news site, it should be reported and the picture should stay up. Kids need to learn respect for authority and that there are repurcutions for their actions.

Taking the picture down and glossing over what he did shows him what, that he's above the law?

Just because he plays football for us means he should be held to a higher standard, and if he doesn't like seeing his mugshot picture on the front page, then do what you're supposed to do...

You people asking for it to be taken down have issues, he committed a crime, he laid hands on a police officer as well as providing drugs and alcohol to people at his party. He should be ashamed, and I bet he is

AJ has done more positive things since being at UT, but a mug shot is sensational news and the media loves that because it sells. This site should promote the Vols, I agree with taking the mug shot down. IMHO.

You can't suggest removing the picture without posting a suggestion of a picture to replace it!

Seriously...wtf people.
