You could go with Volbeat as previously mentioned:

But Steel Panther is probably your best bet

I like steel panther, I listened to them when I first got into rock around 2009. That's when I discovered ac/dc and all of the other bands.

If you want that classic 80's sound there's no one better right now than Crazy Lixx. There are a lot of 80's tribute bands right now who's music sounds like what they THINK 80's rock/metal sounded like. It comes close but never quite reaches it. However Crazy Lixx's music authentically sounds like mid to late 80's rock/metal. I feel transported back to that time period everytime I listen to them!

The Black Keys; you've probably heard their stuff... they are chart darlings. They got some good deep cuts tho

:eek:hmy: bro are you in my head stealing my thoughts?

I'm glad to see I'm not the only fan of them!

Also anyone who's a fan of that sorta vintage rock sound should check out Alabama Shakes. They're one of my favorites.

Avenge Sevenfold is another good one. They're a cross between Queensrich (sp) and Dokken with a little TnT thrown in

I don't see much point in seriously listening to much if any of that.

It's a bad imitation of 80s rock.

I've always heard a ton of Metallica influence with them as well

How old are you?

I was spoiled..grew up in the 80's with my Mom listening to Sabbath, Van Halen, Zep, AC/DC, and Faith No More...who pushed me into metal.

Their Hail to the King album sounded a lot like Metallica.

Yeah, the Black album redux. You can actually sing "Sad But True" to "This Means War." That's not necessarily a bad thing, as I do love the Black album, but it's a pretty obvious ripoff.
