Our defense sucks. My oh my. It will be close. I just wonder how an sec team like Tennessee can be in triple digits in rankings period. Just doesn't make sense

It's simple, the players do not believe in the system or each other......sad days.

Opposites attract, I guess.

Maybe with Conklin effectively taking over the defense this week at practice, things will modestly improve. I've thought that has needed to happen for a while. Sunseri has been relegated to an $800,000 graduate assistant it seems...

The thing that worries me is Mizzou's offense. Statistically, they don't seem very good. I know their O-line has been decimated and the QB has been dinged up...still in comparison...UF is ranked #102 and they handled us. The QB can make plays on the run, another huge concern because the tackling is so poor.

On the other side it looks like a good match up, their pass D is #15 and our pass O is #11, they've got a solid d line.

Should be another fast paced game as well. GBO!

All I ask is that you watch the interview with LaDarrell McNeil from yesterday. I reached a much different conclusion about how together the team is right now.

I am a big believer in researching your position on subjects before going into a personal analysis of a subject. Thanks for doing that OP. For those that want to be more informed it is just a click away:

NCAA College Football FBS Stats - NCAA.com

It is an official NCAA stats link.

Sal should know that we need pressure on Franklin. He should know they have serious O-line injury problems. To cover for it they will counter with quick passes to the receivers that have killed the D all season with a focus on the TE's, slots and RB. If not there Franklin will take off. They will run the draw and counters the rest of the time. They run the same basic sprint option spread offense that the D has seen 6 times already this season. There are some minor variations, but that is all there is to it. As a result I expect Franklin will be another Heisman candidate after it is over unless somebody can get pressure on him quickly or they devise a confusing zone secondary scheme that messes with his head. They simply do not have the athletes in the secondary to man cover a spread. They play back on the slots 5-8 yards from the line and rarely cover a TE or RB. Not enough speed and football smarts back there.

Mizzou's D is a good unit. Better than our D was last year. Probably Missy State or better good. Have no idea how it will turn out but more than likely it will be tight.

Keep Franklin under wraps & we win....don't & we lose.

I suspect Mizzou is going to look like it's #1 in every single one of those categories on Saturday

our return game is more of a theat then mizzu's C.P is a deadley return man with a 31.5 yad avg with a 98 yard long wish he could return punts...

Keep an eye on Marcus Murphy when we punt, he's taken 3 to the house this year. Hopefully we don't punt it to him.

Would love to know if it actually is a fact that Conklin has taken over the D in practice. This would indeed be good news.

Wait, how is our punt returning unit more of a threat than theirs? They've (their guy) has returned 3 punts and a kickoff for TDs this season, that leads the nation.

So just because it's Patterson, ours is more a threat?

National rankings do not take into account schedules. But that is taken into account by just looking at our common opponents, against which, both teams are 0-4.

They lost to FL by 7, we did by 17. Bama was pretty much a wash with them losing by 32 and us by 31. They lost to GA by 21, we did by 7. They lost to SC by 21, we did by 3.

I say, bring it on.
